Ben Gordon's agent is reportedly telling people that his client has a guarantee from the Pistons.

The agent claims that Detroit has promised Gordon $11 million annually, which makes sense considering that the guard rejected $10 million and $9 million from Chicago in the previous two years.

There have been rumors that the Pistons are looking to trade Richard Hamilton, which has only accelerated the speculation that they are targeting Gordon.

Now I want BG, but if we sign him and don't have a deal to trdae Rip I'm going to be pissed. Both would be making too much money to ride the bench.

Damn, quite a bit of money for a guy like him. But I suppose if you straighten him out and get him playing better D it'd be worth it.

Anyways I don't like this at all.
Gordon isn't that much of an upgrade to Rip. And unless we already have a deal in place to get a big man, then this is ridiculous.
Also, this means we are going to have to settle for Millsap in the Free Agency. Cause this would leave us with only like 7 million left, unless we trade Amir to free up more.

Pugz do you really like this more than the idea of getting Hedo.....?

Settle for Milsap? Is it a forgone conclusion you're going to get him? I'm pretty sure the Jazz are going to do whatever they can to get him back since they don't want Boozer.

No....... I'm just saying if we are going to get a FA big man, we could basically only get Millsap because Boozer wouldn't take what we have left so our most legitimate shot is at Millsap.

We should be using our money elsewhere.

Utah will take either but want Paul more due to age and he's cheaper.

I do like this more then Hedo, but like you said only if we have a deal for Rip.
Honestly, say we sign BG and do trade Rip for Kaman(which I read, and LA likes him) or even Camby. We can use our 6-7mill on Charlie V, plus with Earl Clark via draft.

We won't be back to top form, but that will be clearly be going on the right path.

Hedo is also 30 years old, in two years he will start to decline.. and he wants 10+ for 5 years..
Fuck that.

Eh, I guess it's fine then. As long as we already have a deal in-place.

I swear, Kaman needs to make sure his hair is short in Detroit. Or I won't be very happy.

To be honest, I just dislike the idea of having a white center.
Soft as wonderbread lol.

Yea, I'm ONLY for this right now if we have a deal in place.. if not then I'll be pissed.
No way I want two guys who want to start pissed cause one's on the bench.. plus they'd both make over 10mill. And I want nothing to do with a 3 guard lineup again lol.

Yeah Kaman isn't that soft, but it's just a stereotype that I can't shake.
