The Toronto Raptors have acquired Reggie Evans from the Philadelphia 76ers for Jason Kapono.

League sources say the trade will be officially announced this afternoon.

The move will save Toronto financially.

Evans is owed $4.6 million next season and $5 million in 2010-11 on his contract.

Kapono's deal will pay him $6.2 million this coming season and $6.6 million the season after.

Not a bad deal for us, we get another rebounding forward that we need, but we lose a guard, one our week spots too. Let's hope we can go after a shooting guard if Parker leaves.

Evans won't be needed with Elton coming back along with Speights being a nice big

Philly had no shooters at all last season. this is a good move for them.

Another good move by ed. We lacked a shooter all year. And jason will give us a great shooter. Im amped for the draft. We can pick maynor. And we will be straight.

Joe dumars should study ed and see how making moves is done.

lol Kapono is going to put you over the top.

And Young, I guess we like Maynor a lot so if he's there for us he may be our pick.

We snagged a future starter in the second round in Lou williams. Our starting two guard was a second round pick.

That's no excuse

Lou shouldn't be a starter.. Better served as a scoring spark off the bench. But that was a good pick regardless.

I believe he could start in a few years. He isn't ready yet.

Having late picks is not a excuse. Mo williams was a second rounder I believe, boozer, gilbert, boobie, monta all went in the second round.

And to say that was his only mistake is stupid pugz.

Darko was his only DRAFTING mistake. But I'm not saying he's a good drafter cause he's decent at best.

For the positions we have picked at, he is a good drafter.

Kapono will be a nice asset to Philly. He can make the 3, as we have seen in 3-point competitions, and once in awhile in games.

I agree with you.

But for the record, Stefanski is a great GM. He just hasn't had the track record winning wise that Dumars has had, but thats not all his fault. He's got a great bball mind. I trust his decisions for the most part

I know you never said he wasn't, i'm just throwing my opinion out there
