According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer . . .
The Cavs may have an interest in Rasheed Wallace on a short deal. They need more size, and they'd like a big man who can shoot. At 6-11, Wallace can defend when the mood strikes him. He remains a good shooter. He will be 35 in September, and seemed distracted in his final season with the Pistons, yet still averaged 12 points and 7.4 rebounds. He has some nagging injuries, but one theory is coming to a contending team in the same division as Detroit could inspire him. Cavs assistant John Kuester was with the Pistons and Wallace for a few years and likes the power forward/center.

I already said he'll sign there. For Sheed it's between Cavs Celtics and Orlando, along with SA. Dyess could go to them teams aswell as LA I think. Dyess has more heart then Sheed but I still think Sheed wants to win.

Yes.

The Cavs are not only in need of a big man but rather a big man & defender. Thus far I've heard Sheed, Ariza, Anthony Parker, Shaq and even Josh Childress, linked as Cleveland potentials.

Cavs can't get Ariza or Josh as LA and ATL would quickly match the offers.
Shaq would be ok, maybe a Ben and Sasha trade for Shaq? But then they roll with two old and slow 7 footers for C/PF.
Anthony Parker and Sheed are their best bets, and I think they may nab them.

But I also think Orlando will resign Hedo and then go after Sheed, Sheed will shut Dwight down that's why other teams will want him and why Orlando NEEDS him.

Cvas should go after Dyess, dude has tons of heart and still rebounds and scores well.

I just think that Cleveland was stupid not to make that deadline deal this season. I feel that if the Cavs were concentrating on winning now...they would of parted with Wally's expiring & Shaq would of put them into the Finals.

They wanted Wally's expiring contract.

The Cavs have so many parts which they aren't using, they really jsut need to dump them. CV and Sheed are pretty similar players, so either of them should get signed.

I would actually love the idea of Josh Childress returning to the NBA & heading straight to Cleveland. Great perimeter defender who would make the Cavs a bigger team by his lonesome. Add Sheed & Josh to LeBrown, Mo & Delonte...nasty.

My sources say that Rasheed Wallace and the Cavs are beginning talks on a two-year deal worth about $10 million per for the services of the former Piston. The move and negotiations were inspired by Dwight Howard’s dominant performance over Cleveland’s big men in the Eastern Conference Finals. And Wallace will be brought in for that very purpose, to neutralize Dwight Howard next season and help the Cavs get over the hump.

This supports what we previously reported about what it will take for Sheed to come back next year.

If this signing falls through, I’m hearing that Cleveland may do a sign and trade with the Clippers for Zach Randolph, which certainly makes sense for the Clippers since they are taking Blake Griffin No. 1 overall.
I dont know how that move would work, Zach os going to shoot the ball no matter who is his teammate, I dont see him agreeing to take a backseat to LeBron.

There have been rumors of Zach to Cleveland for a few years now, and it's never going to happen.. At least I hope. Especially if the Cavs plan to maintain cap to try and pair another star with LeBron in the 2010 Free Agency.

I want Sheed here, he would fit in well with probably everyone but Ilgauskas. And he can guard Howard, which is why we need him.
