Amare Stoudemire was on ESPN Radio in New York on Friday and lobbied for the Knicks to sign him instead of Chris Bosh. Stoudemire expressed a desire to play for Mike D'Antoni in 2010. "No doubt about it, I'm better than Chris Bosh," said Stoudemire when posted with the question.

"How serious will you consider the Knicks in 2010," asked Brandon Tierney.

"I will be totally serious about that, I spent a lot of my childhood there, I have a connection with the state, and I also love the entire coaching staff."

"I think Coach D'Antoni's doing a phenomenal job with the Knicks, NY's a great city, I follow them closely."

C'mon Stat, we'll welcome you with open arms. Ive said it before of we dont end up with LeBron (dont kill me cheato) or Wade we'll get Amare and JJ. 1 down 1 to go.

You would think Amare learned he can't win anything with D'Antonio.

I would be happy with either Bosh or Stoudemire, we really need as much as help as possible.

This also helps us with Lee, it gives us an insurance plan and shows him we dont NEED him as much as we did, so he can opt for the big payday with another team or stay and try to be apart of the rebuilding.

I also read that Eddy Curry has gotten in shape and has been working harder then ever to make a comeback. So it looks like we're set in the post....

[EDIT:] but if I had to pick Im definently going with Stat, he's just nastier and I love the way he plays the game.

Well I was just saying.. lol His system doesn't work in general, I could see Amare wanting to go there with a different coach but the only thing that I can see that D'Antoni can strike interest from players, is that there stats will always be inflated and they can make all-star games.

I wasnt a fan of the D'Antoni hiring either, I know you can only go so far with just playing offense and no defense, but they cont care what I have to say about it, and the players love to play in his system so I have to go with it.

I just hope D'Antoni has a "George Karl" experience and decides to implement defense soon.

But you have to understand us Knick fans have been used to seeing losing season after losing season, the last time we were in the playoffs we got swept so It would just feel good to have a winning season and a strong playoff run. I wont ask for too much yet.

I didn't like the hire either obviously, the reason I always bad talk these possible signings is because D'Antoni just isn't a playoff coach. But to get in the playoffs would be good for the Knicks, but once you guys are always playoff contenders, and keep losing early, you'll be wanting a new coach.

I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to NY. I just hope the Knicks don't become the next Yankees but with a salary cap.

This Nets team was supposed to win 20 games this year. The Knicks were supposed to win 40 by may people's count.

Lol I dont know who gave you those numbers we were expected to win between 30-35 wins, D'Antoni said they were shooting for 40.

But what does that have to do with anything?

Really your ignorance gets old, you downplay every other team, yet your team isnt as good as you think.
