'Hard Knocks' to feature Bengals

From 'Training Camp with the Baltimore Ravens'...to...'Training Camp with the Dallas Cowboys'...to...'Training Camp with the Kansas City Cheifs'...to...'Training Camp with the Cincinnati Bengals'.

Yes, the Emmy Award winning series 'Hard Knocks' will return August 12th, this time covering the Cincinnati Bengals & 7th year head coach Marvin Lewis. "This is a fascinating team," says NFL Films president Steve Sabol. "They've got a lot to prove to themselves and to the fans. As Coach Lewis has said, 'This is a team with a chip on their shoulder.' Training camp is a laboratory of human emotions and the Bengals have a compelling mix of personalities that should make for dramatic television."

The 2009 season will air 5 hour-long episodes exclusively on HBO, every Wednesday night. -AE

I actually applaud the selection of the Bengals. Lots of interesting story lines going on in Cincinnati. A head coach who's definitely on the 'hot seat', a star quarterback, a celebrity-wannabe wide receiver who's never happy, lots of legal troubles and Rey Maulauga. I find all that interesting.

Plus, I can live w/o watching how the Dallas Cowboys do business during training camp for 1 year.

I wonder if they will ever do a show on great teams, like the Pats, Steelers, or Colts.

Now that would be fun to watch how they train and prepare for the season. And how their training is different from say a mediocre team.

Other than the Cowboys, is there a better selection? You have Chad Johnson to stir things up with his trade demands. Then you kno someone will get arrested during the taping of the show. It's perfect!
