well stardom, how bout dem Dodgers?

2 of 3 over the Phillies without Manny
we also have better offensive numbers minus Manny. Our problem has been pitching lately.

oh wow.
I always thought that would suck. I mean it's 10:30 now. I can't imagine being in the first inning watching the Dodgers right now.
I'd rather have the 4:00 game when we go east, or the morning 10 game like today. that was pretty cool

Yea, we had to cuz we played yesterday at Citifield and we need the rest, lol. 7 game road trip vs Giants and Dodgers. 1-0 already.

When the Dodgers come to Citifield they will be wearing their home uniforms and will call it their home away from home. They will also hang up the division championship banner as well. Oh yea and they'll use the home team's locker room cuz the Wilpons said so......

I was being sarcastic. We have more Dodgers memorbilia in our stadium than actual mets stuff.

Oh and btw thanx for trading Piazza, lmao. One of the worst moves you guys have ever made.

All this is moot, because the Braves are obviously winning the East... <_<

Some quick thoughts from Thursday.

-Good first outing for Santana going 5 innings and giving up 3 earned and 3 walks. If he can return to form, the Angels are going to be a tough team to beat, especially with that pitching in the AL West.

-The Mets are now 19-15 and although Reyes and Delgado both have injury issues, the lineup is stepping up and the K-Rod has been lights out thus far. This is where they should be all year.

-Justin Verlander is back ladies and gentlemen. It looks like this year is going to look more like 2007 than 2008. His velocity is up and he struck out 13 in 6.1 innings, but the pen blew it for him and the Twins ended up sweeping the Tigers. Thus, he struck out 13 of the 19 batters he faced...wow.

-Soon we shall see how the Cardinals' offense will be affected by the injury of Ryan Ludwick. They avoided being swept by the Pirates in tonight's game and Colby Rasmus hit a bomb into the Allegheny.

lol I was listening to a Phillies/Mets game from the Phils announcers.
they were bagging on KRod like "oh look how much his velocity is down. oh well"

i hate the way he pitches though. it would make me really nervous. his wind up always makes his pitches look like they are gonna be all over the place and it does happen sometimes anyways. Broxton does this too for me. He gets a little wild at time and when he gets strikes called, i just go wow

you miss Drew over Juan Pierre...Drew is actually hitting the ball and Penny is giving decent starts; at least enough to keep us in the game.

yeah RB!
we haven't spoken directly before. welcome aboard SI.

Dodgers/Marlins tomorrow. That looks to be good. Volstad vs. Stults
I dont know much about Volstad, but he looks like he could give L.A. some trouble if he's on

Juan has been awesome without Manny
he's hitting like .400 <3
I'd take him over Drew. he is at least durable unlike Nancy

Yeah, cool man. Just looking for a place where I can discuss MLB and other sports all summer! And yeah, I'm not necessarily looking forward to this weekend series. The Marlins have Volstad going and then Andrew Miller and John Karonka...We're probably toast in the Saturday and Sunday games. Friday I think we have a good chance of winning. Volstad has a 2.98 ERA right now. He's definitely been our second best pitcher, behind Josh Johnson. The Marlins pitching has been a monumental disappointment thus far this season.

All the action is going on tonight as today's only day game was rained out in Chicago. The Cubs and Astros will play a make up game on July 30th.
