Mets win their 7th straight. Hottest team in baseball?

Quite possibly.

The Philadelphia series impressed me, although Philly's pitching has been brutal. Park did have a quality outing in that series, however. It's no surprise the Mets have started winning. They usually have guaranteed win every 5 games with Santana and they're lineup is very good.

Like I mentioned before the season started. It all comes down to our SPing after Santana. More specifically Pelfry and Maine. And coincidentally the have been pitching very well and Livan is a big surprise.

The lineup is starting to heat up as well. We still have a lot of work to do, starting with the Braves this week.

Yes, I agree that for the Mets it comes down to their staring pitching. Pelfry and Maine have been better, but they still have a very high ERA. And yes, Livan is a surprise, but I don't know if he'll be able to keep up with that all season, even though he doesn't really have to. Perez would be the worry for me, because things don't look great for him right now. This team is good, which is nothing new. It's just that they FINALLY started playing better baseball.

And for me, the Braves SP is their key. Their outfield is not very good offensively and their infield is decent. I see the Braves hovering around the 3-4 spot in the division all year.

I dont think the Braves have enough hitting to match the Mets, Marlins, and Phillies. It will be their achilles heel just like last year. Francouer has been a very big dissapontment for the Braves. And Garret is not the answer in LF.

Can't argue with that. But once the Braves call up Tommy Hanson no one will be able to match our starting pitching. I think we'll hang in until August, but if we don't clear up our LF situation we'll fall out of the race.

Yea that kid Tommy Hanson is the real deal. If the Braves win the division its because Kotchman and Kelly make that lineup deeper. Right now neither of them are doing so hot. Especially Kelly who is being platooned to get him out of his slump.

Porcello is a bum. Just because he's one of the top prospects in all of baseball doesn't mean he's good.
Porcello is far from a bum. Already has 3 wins this year, only 20 years old. You can see he has the stuff to be great.

The same can be said for Heyward for what you said for Porcello. ;)

I thought the rolling eyes would give away my sarcasm, I was backing you up. Kid is a stud.

Your name is based off a minor leaguer, not much hope for the major league team huh.
Nah, not really. You and I are a lot alike in that respect. I love that this guy is picking a fight with me for saying a pitcher is good. What a tool.

Brett Cecil with an amazing performance today on the mound. This guy is scary good, and it's good to know he's apart of the Jays future.
