With the NFC West up for the taking, grumblings from Niners camp suggest that the team is looking into the potential of a Julius Peppers trade.
A report by The Sacramento Bee supports the idea, citing San Francisco's quiet free agency has left them with plenty of cap space for 2009. Panthers GM Marty Hurney and Niners GM Scot McCloughan have a good repoor and already made 1 deal this off-season. If you remember on draft day, McCloughan sent his 2nd round & 4th round picks to Carolina for Hurney's 2010 1st rounder.
Though such talk is early speculation, Peppers still being at odds with Carolina, combined with SF's cap space & duel 1st round picks for next year's draft...certainly would make plenty of sense. -AE
