And having one of the best WR's to throw to is a huge plus.

I knew the Lions were going to end up taking Stafford & I think its the right choice. You could make an argument for drafting a Tackle to build your offense around but the Lions have the later first round pick to use in beefing up their O-Line. Don't forget how loaded this draft class is with solid lineman.

How much money he's getting paid doesn't make him any less of a player. That's a fault of the system...ironically something Roger Goodell is making a huge push to re-invent.

If Matthew Stafford was coming from the Pac-10, I might listen to the argument that he's going to be a bust. He's an SEC guy & never referred to as "Matthew Heisman" prior to his senior season.

That said, no comparisons to Joey Harrington please.

Personally, I don't think he's a very good QB. He has a low football IQ, he's not a natural leader, and he's terribly inaccurate at times. To me, those are three of the most important things to look for in a QB, and Stafford doesn't really measure up well in any of them.

A four year starter at Georgia...how could he not be a natural leader to this point. His collegiate numbers also show a pretty good football IQ. He's not a flashy QB though...which is why I suspect your no fan of him TYO.
