From realgm.com
Some NBA executives think lottery teams, including the Knicks, will look to trade down or deal for a 2010 selection if their "need" guy is not there due to the lack of overall quality beyond Blake Griffin.

The Knicks' 2010 first round pick will go to the Jazz as the final compensation for the Stephon Marbury trade.

this draft isnt great. not much of a difference from like the 7th pick and the 24th pick

2003 - Kirk Hinrich and Brian Cook
2004 - Luol Deng and Delonte West
2005 - Charlie Villanueva and Luther Head
2006 - Randy Foye and kyle Lowry
2007 - Corey Brewer and Rudy Fernandez
2008 - Eric Gordon and Serge Ibaka

Those are picks 7 and 24. I know you chose two numbers randomly, but its just interesting to see how valid your point is.

Exactly, which is why I want Detroit to make the playoffs...
Unlike Pugz who thinks 2 spots ahead will get us a franchise player lol.

I think this draft will be good 1-5. Then the rest of the picks will suck. Stay at Uconn Hasheem!

Looks like we will have the #1 (Pending lottery of course) and somewhere in the 20 range. Petrie does his magic with late selections, maybe he'll find a diamond in the rough.

your a <Censored>ing moron. no i don't think that. i think it could get us a slightly better player.
now unlike you i don't think we will make ANY noise, and i don't think we will make it out of round 1.. then to me there is no point in getting swept o winning one playoff game.

I'd rather take a very very slim chance at making noise in the playoffs then moving down 2 spots in a weak draft.

I was kidding about the franchise player thing too... I guess I'll use my sarcasm tags next time.

Same thing lol.

The good thing about this draft is that it has a slew of players that are going to be solid players in the league. So the Pistons pick of 16 could reel in a good player.
Earl Clark
Jeff Teague
Demar Derozan
DuJuan Blair
Ed Davis

That's just a few guys out there. Obviously guys like Derozan are a stretch.

Idk see why you would go after those 3 anyway. You got stuck to play the 1. Affalo at the 2 and sharpe at the 3. For the future. Blair and davis makes sense though

Earl Clark is a combo forward. He would play PF/SF. Could probably be a nice contributor off the bench next season. Out of all those players I listed, I really want Clark the most.
Clark > Sharpe

If you got Teague he could start at PG in the future, and Stuckey at SG.

Demar would be our SG in the future. Afflalo as 6th man.

Well i doubt those 3 fall. Especially Demar after he was playing late in the season and clark i dont see him falling past 13. Teague hurt himself at the end of the season so who knows.

I wonder how far Tyler Hansbrough falls.
