CLEVELAND -- LeBron James moved into the Big O's neighborhood. James With a layup early in the first quarter Wednesday night against New Jersey, Cleveland's superstar joined Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson as the only players in NBA history to post 2,000 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists in a season at least four times.

Anyway, Cavs on a 10 game win streak, next 4 games I'd say are easy wins, gotta lock up that #1 overall spot..

Crazy? Those are pretty well rounded stats that only one player has ever done.

Kobe is not in the same league with those 2. LeBron is having one of the greatest statistical seasons ever. And D-wade is right there with lebron but a little behind but not far behind.

your under appreciating Kobe again TYO
look at the numbers and tell me he's not on that level.
look at what he's accomplished throughout his time and tell me he's no on that level

You dont think that with time LeBron and D-wade wont accomplish just as much if not way more than Kobe?

I love how you hate the numbers when they prove D-wade and LeBron are better than kobe.

I never siad they wouldnt be that good. they are now, but so is Kobe
and the numbers are pretty even dont act like those two are far and away better

and you gotta look at the stats from all sides not just the cover

LeBron and Wade average more assits because they are their teams PG basically.
they handle the ball all the time.
Kobe handles the ball too, but he plays in the triangle offenese. when the triangle has a talented big man like it does now, the assists numbers go down. even the PG doesnt average a lot of assists

but even with this TYO, against the good teams in the NBA, Kobe averages the most assists of the two >.<

honestly though, i think that the fact that we got to go look at these in depth stats tells me that they are so close that you need a "hair" to separate them
they are equal. Kobe is more clutch though and has the better jumper

Time for me to shut down the kobe is clutch theory

Clutch = in the 4th quarter with 5 minutes left and no team ahead by 5 points

Bryant, Wade and LeBron are the top 3 most clutch players in the league.

Points in the clutch
Bryant has 54.8 points in the clutch, Wade has 54.6, and LeBron has 52.4.

Defense
Wade is the best defensive clutch player in the league, averaging 6.5 blocks and 3.2 steals in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter.

Byrant averages 0 blocks and 0.9 steals in the clutch.

LeBron averages 0.7 blocks and 2.9 steals in the clutch

Assists in the clutch

LeBron leads with 12.9 assists in the clutch

Wade has averaged 9.3 assists in the clutch

Bryant with 6 assists in the clutch

------------------------------------------------

So you see, LeBron averages twice the steals, twice the assists than Kobe does in the clutch, and has only averaged 2.4 points less.

Wade averages 3.3 more assists than Kobe in the clutch, 2.3 steals more than Kobe, and 6.5 more blocks than Kobe does in the clutch, while averaging only 0.4 less points than Kobe does.

To sum up :

in the clutch :

Bryant : 54.8 pts on 46% FG%, 9.1 rebs, 6 assists, 0 blocks, 0.9 steals

LeBron : 52.4 pts on 48% FG%, 16.5 rebs, 12.9 assists, 0.7 blocks, 2.9 steals

Wade : 54.6 pts on 49% FG%, 4.4 rebounds, 9.3 assists, 6.5 blocks, 3.2 steals

Both Wade and LeBron have a higher FG%.

I would say Kobe is the least clutch of those 3 guys.

Kobe is averaging 38.8 Field goal attempts in the clutch, while Wade averages 34.3.....and LeBron only has an amazing 29.4 FGA. -Averaging almost 10 less shot attempts than Kobe is and is only 2.4 average points behind.

1) LeBron James leads the NBA with 17 game winning shots with a FG% of 34% in the clutch
2) Vince Carter..
3) Ray Allen..

4) Kobe Bryant has 14 game winners and is in 4th place with a FG% of 25% in the clutch

NBA League average for game winners = 29% FG%.

LeBron shoots above that, Kobe shoots below.

Those stats are so misleading
you know damn well you want to have Kobe when it counts over those two.

But this just speaks to my earlier point. They are so close that we have to look for the smallest things to separate them. this just shows how close they are and why i believe they are in the same class.
