Davidson junior guard Stephen Curry will likely play in the NIT this month, but one Eastern Conference scout still believes he's a first-round talent.

"I don't think it affects him," the scout said. "He's a guy who went back to school instead of the NBA last year, and if you didn't know him now, you weren't doing your job. People know what he can do. He's a first-round talent and an excellent shooter. At his position, there aren't a lot of bona fide shooters. He'll give himself a chance because he can make shots. People say he's not quick and athletic, but he has a skill."

Curry, the son of former NBA star Dell Curry, has averaged 28.6 points per game this season.

I dont think he'll make it as an NBA player but he could very well be a mid to late 1st rounder

He doesn't play defense, and he is the only good player at his school so he gets the ball to much.

He will turn out like JJ Redick.

Ha he's way more athletic than JJ. And he has the ball in his hands all the time because his teammates literally suck. He will be a juan dixon type in the league.

I know he is more athletic. I was referring to his role for the team he is drafted too.

But Juan Dixon sounds like a pretty good comparison.

a better juan dixon though. he's got like an eddie house shot just not as quick. Passing abilities are probably a little better then House's

Hmm...

There are three teams I can see him succeeding with in the NBA...

The fast uptempo offenses like Golden State and New York...
But the only half court offense he would thrive in is the Triangle...

Reminds me a lot like Steve Kerr/Mike Bibby as his best-case or Juan Dixon/Jannero Pargo as a worst-case...

Steve Kerr is the <Censored>, but I don't see how he is on the same level as Mike Bibby...
