Denver Post - Jay Cutler isn't happy that the Broncos thought about trading him this past weekend, but he's not safe as the Lions and Vikings reportedly still have interest.

Historically, the biggest trades are made on the first day of the NFL Draft, which means that Cutler might be in limbo until mid-April.

"You do have to make difficult decisions to make yourself a better team," former Giants coach Jim Fassel said of the situation.

"You have to cut a guy. You have to draft a guy, maybe at your position. People always get offended; you're a player and they draft a player No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3 at your position. All you're trying to do is get better."
I would love Cutler here, if he wanted to play here at least. IDK if I'd give #1 overall for him though. Maybe #20 and a later pick.

He`ll most likely stay in Denver, but if the Lions did want to have a chance at him, the best option would be giving up the #1 pick for him.

Yeah your right. I'd take him over Stafford. So #1 overall makes sense. Plus he was a Pro-Bowler.

Cutler will stay in Denver... guaranteed. Detroit is in love with Stafford and they still have Culpepper.

Denver wouldn't want Detroit's #1 pick b/c they wouldn't want the salary of the player taken.

A deal isn't feasible anyways due to the fact that neither the Vikings or Lions can offer a good enough QB in return. Like I said, the Broncos wouldn't want to pay Drew Stafford at #1.

Oh I definitely would too. Draft picks are 50/50 when it comes to living up to their potential & as we all know, draft picks are never a guaranteed thing. While Detroit can spend a first overall and shell out first overall money to a guy who has never played a single down on an NFL field...I would opt for the sure thing in Jay Cutler. Cutler, having already played several downs, is a guy that has shown he can be an NFL starting quarterback in so many ways.

The only scenario in which they trade him at this point is if he is continues to be a huge prick about the situation, refuses to make nice, and demands to be traded.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. This guy is full of himself, saying he has a better arm than John Elway, etc. But there is no doubt he has the talent to be great.

Jay Cutler dangerously low on insulin is 100-times better than what we've got on our roster.

When has Detroit ever even hinted that they are in love with Matt Stafford? They love him so much they've tried to get Cassell & Cutler in the last 48 hours. I'll be more surprised if they don't take a lineman at #1, or that Wake Forest LB, and then get Sanchez at #20, before I'll believe they have a Viagra induced infatuation with Matthew Stafford.

And Peter King wrote in his MMQB column today that Cutler ASKED TO BE TRADED a few weeks ago, so making a guarantee that he stays in Denver is another thing I wouldn't be doing with any level of certainty.

Cutler is just a lil butt hurt that they were gonna trade him for Cassel . He thinks hes the best qb in the NFL and worth way more then that. He is just causing up a stir to get some attention from the broncos management. Cutler will be the elway of the broncos for many years to come.

Who said anything about the Lions being in love with Stafford?
