Yeah, because when I think great ownership who ponies up the dough to keep players, the Bidwells are the first name that comes to mind. They're $5m apart. He's not coming back.

There's no market for Warner outside of Arizona. He either re-signs or retires.

I'm sure his agent has him "testing the market" in an effort to draw more money from the Cardinals.

Yeah, I get that. But this is the Cardinals. And the Bidwell's still run the team.

So your saying that Kurt Warner ends up retiring b/c he and the Cardinals cannot come to a good salary compromise? Please...this team was 1 drive away from winning their first Super Bowl title last season with Warner under center & you better bet that they want another shot in 2009.

The Bidwell's gave an intial offer of $5 million less than what Warner wants. Now I dont know how much of a negotiating expert you think you are but initial offers usually are far apart.

This wasn't an "initial" offer, bub. They've been at this for weeks now. They've been millions apart this whole month. The Bidwell's "upped" their offer so they just now got to within $5m of what Warner is looking for.

You don't need to be an "expert" to know how the Bidwell's run the Cardinals. One play....one run.....whatever. The Cardinals are like Hailey's Comet. Once every 60 or so years they get it together. They won't make the playoffs next year. You can stick that on your refrigerator with a magnet.

Like I said, there is no market for Kurt Warner outside of Arizona. That said, he either comes to terms with the Cardinals or he calls it a career.

As much as the guy claims he still love to play & as close as he was to another ring in January, I guarantee he works out a deal with the team.
