Suspended Falcons QB Michael Vick has been approved for release from a Kansas prison.

Good timing with the free agency/trading period looming. He'll now head to a halfway house, although the house is reportedly short on bed space, so Vick could be home in Hampton, VA by May 21. The Falcons are trying to trade Vick, but have found no takers. He'll likely be cut later this offseason

It's like being out with a serious injury.. Other than he didn't have to recover...

He wont be done serving his sentence and in any position to apply for re-instatement until after the 2009 season.

Once that happens he's going to be hard pressed to find a team willing to deal with all the criticism that comes along with placing Michael Vick onto your roster. Vick had better get out of prison, finish all of his legal obligations, and get to work on restoring his public image.

Even if the guy has to open up an Animal Shelter, then so be it.
