Pistons' coach Michael Curry hasn't decided to make a lineup change just yet, but it appears as though Richard Hamilton will soon come off the bench in favor of Amir Johnson.

The "demotion" doesn't appear to concern Hamilton, who has reportedly been frustrated at times in Detroit this season.

"We just want to win, bottom line. We want to win games," Hamilton said. "Guys are coming out, trying to figure out a way to do everything possible to help the team win. That's the most important thing right now -- just try to win games."
As sad as I am to see my favorite NBA player go to the bench, it was needed. Looking forward to Amir most likely starting.

Detroit is just transitioning right now. As much as I love Rip...I think this is a good stride for the Pistons. All the time guys like Stuckey and Amir will get now, help in the long run.

if its between he and AI, i would send AI to the bench
he'd be better with the second unit and the pistons fans know it
the only reason he isnt there is because Curry is afraid to do it > _>
go ahead and bring up the benching of AI after he missed practice, but you know i'm right

i know, thats why they didnt do it
but AI would be better off with the second unit. he'd get to play with a bunch of scrubs and take over the game like we're used to him doing

Maybe so but in this day and age your not gonna send players like tim duncan,ai,kobe, shaq to the bench i doubt their egos will allow it.

they traded the wrong guy
they should have traded Rip and play Chauncey and Stuckey in the back court

I have to agree that Detroit is afraid to bench AI...thus admitting failure in the trade.

Stuckey runs the point very well. And has ran in since college, probably before then too.
