Chicago Sun-Times - Michael Vick is scheduled to be released from prison on July 20, and the Bears have made it clear that quarterback will be their highest priority this offseason.

Of course, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will have to reinstate Vick in order for him to return to the field this coming season.

Vick, 28, has always been a tremendous athlete, but there are doubts about what kind of condition he'll be in when he exits prison

I'm a person who believes in second chances.

However for what he did, I don't think he deserves a second chance.

I dont see what`s wrong with Kyle Orton?? Unless, they are looking for a backup for him than ok, but Orton is a pretty solid QB.

why is killing a human worse than killing multiple dogs? I dont see why people look down on other animals like they are worthless. Not saying you are saying that, but I odnt see the difference. Both are living life forms.

Guys, we have already argued and argued about this.
How about we discuss the topic that the Bears are interested instead of arguing which will get us nowhere?

Because it's an animal. Unless you're a vegetarian you can't talk.

He deserves another chance.

because our discussion about whether or not he deserves a second chance has a strong connection with whether or not we believe the Bears should even be expressing interest. If your a fan of the Bears but cant stand what VIck did, then you gotta defend it.

your right im not a vegetarian. most people dont eat dogs, lol.

Doesnt mean that an animal who is looked at by MANY people as "man's best friend" should just be ignored. Its still a lifeform.

We have already discussed this for over 10 pages and it ended up getting closed.
Dont want the same thing to happen.

no, but I dont believe that its that bad. Its in regards to the team's decision to look into acquiring this player, and people are voicing their concerns about this in regards to his actions. How is that wrong?

You can't say that all "living life forms" are the same and then say dogs are different than cows. Just going by what you said.

But alright Hova, I'll stop. I'm just saying Vick deserves another chance.

first off theres a difference between killing a life form for the sake of survival, rather than killing animals in treacherous ways for entertainment and/or money.

and I didnt say dogs are different than cows. Im saying you used me not being a vegetarian against me, I said we dont eat dogs. If we ate dogs for a living, then yes, use that against me. We eat cows for the sake of survival, for nutrients, etc. We dont throw them in cages to attack each other till they die.

there is a difference between survival of the fittest and watching animals kill each other for the sake of enjoyment.
