From realgm.com
The Rockets have re-signed center Dikembe Mutombo, 42, for the rest of the season.

Mutombo appeared in 39 games for Houston last season, logging most of his minutes after Yao Ming broke his left foot in February.

Mutombo averaged five rebounds, three points and 1.2 blocks.

I saw that he didn't want to sign with the Celtics earlier, Idk why if he wanted a better shot at a title..

Got to love Deke. I bet he stays another year in the league HAHA.

But Detroit would of been perfect for him.

he only returned to NBA if was with Rockets. he said that before the season, and that he only wanted to play 1/2 season.

his home and all his charity work is done through Houston now, and he didn't want to leave that.

there was absolutely no chance of anyone else signing him. He's a great backup plan if Yao goes down. Along with him, Landry, and Sciola, like last year can hold their own

Don't see where he would of fit in for Boston. Maybe 3rd string Center.
