John Salmons needs to go. His trade value is as high as it will ever be right now and he will be out of his prime when we will be playoff contenders again. He is 29 already. That being said, what do you think the Kings can get and who would be interested?

He should be on, and should be traded to the Raptors.

Although he is doing good I doubt you fetch anything more than you got for Artest, even if that much.

I was thinking a young piece and a pick.

Just try for an expiring.
He's only making 5 mill a year and expires in two years, so not reallly any point in that.
Plus, he is playing really good so we could at least get a young player/pick for him.
He is shooting over 50% with 20 PPG. (You can say it's imflated but again he is shooting well)
Alot of teams could use someone like him, maybe Portland?

You won't get that young of a player for him, he's just too old and like you said his stats are inflated.

I never said they were, I said I know you would say that but he is shooting a really good percentage so it's not like he's just throwing up 30 shots a game. And Portland needs a SF and they could possibly make a run, and Sergio isn't happy with his role in Portland, didnt he say he wanted out?

I look at Salmons as a 2-guard.. He could play SF, yeah, but he's a better 2-guard IMO... Plus, they have Batum, Outlaw, and Webster once he returns.

He's a three. He's only playing two because K$ is out.

I think Toronto should try to get him, or the Knicks. If he were available.

He should thank a little something called BTS for his inflated value.

If the Kings were to trade him I think theyd be in good shape because you know some team will overpay...

Whatdya know?
The Kings are also open to moving John Salmons, who may be the more impressive chip the Kings have to cash. The Kings are looking to re-tool this summer so ending deals matter more than talent, although sources close to the situation say picking up a young guy still on a rookie deal with upside might be enticing enough to get the Kings to move.
The Raptors might be best suited offering up a Bargnani package and a first round draft pick to the Sacramento Kings for John Salmons. The Kings' swingman might be exactly what the Raptors are missing.

I'd like to see how Bargnani would play for the Kings.. You'd think he'd be doing alright in Toronto, but he's not doing much...

IMO, they'd be stupid to trade Bargnani for Salmons. Andrea is still young, they should wait a year or so. They were comparing him to Dirk when he was coming into the league.... Dirk got traded and look how good he's turned out to be. I bet the Bucks want him back now that they see what he's become.
