If the opportunity is right to win multiple titles with another team, Cavalier superstar LeBron James said on Tuesday that he would not hesitate to sign with another team, the Associated Press is reporting.

"I think you do what is best for you and you do what is best for your career," James said Tuesday night when asked about his sense of loyalty to the Cavaliers before they played the Nets in New Jersey.

"...I go out and I play hard and that's loyalty," James added. "It's hard because it's a business. (The) franchise is going to do what is best for the player, it always comes back on us. I am going to look bad. If a franchise decides to give up on a player, it's OK. So we have to do what is best for us."

James has two years left on his extension, but many teams are trying to clear space to make a push for the 2010 free agent class which will include Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Carmelo Anthony and James amongst others.

"I am focused on the team that I am on right now and winning a championship," he said. "So it gets funny at times, but I don't think about making a change at this point. I am focusing on the team I have here and the relationship I have with the Cavs."
i doubt he actually heads to a contender. now that hes opened up i think he'll end up in new york

How come no one posted the quote saying he wouldn't leave Cleveland that he said just a few days ago? No one talks about it because the media just wants everyone to think he's going to New York/New Jersey even though both those teams suck and he wants to win.

depends. Why would you say the Knicks suck? Their doing very well this year actually, and their a young improving team with a heck of a coach. I dont care about his quote "a few days ago" he just said on this topic, on this quote that he'll make the decision that's best for his career. If he thinks NY is that place, so be it.

I'm not sure what title contender would even have the money for him but who knows who will get him.

18 Teams can sign him to a max deal when he is a FA?
Talk about a <Censored>ing sweepstakes.

Side Note: Do you think later in there careers Melo, Wade, and James come together on one team... like when there career is almost over.

doubtful. lebron and melo both play SF and could you think of the money a team would have to spend on the three of them. it would be something to see but id say theres only a 2% chance that happens

Put it like this.

The Cavs w/o LeBron would suck. With him their a contender.

Now put LeBron on the Knicks, if you think that wouldnt be a better team then he's on now, your crazy.

The Cavs supporting cast is so underrated, you guys act like they are terrible.

Mo Williams, Big Z, Wally, Delonte, Big Ben, Varajoke.

They have a good supporting cast.. Obviously LeBron makes the team, but their supporting cast is just as good as NY, if not better.

Rip, seriously now, their supporting cast isnt bad.

But that team alone would be at the bottom of the East, everyone knows that. You add LeBron to the Knicks, and their better then any team the Cavs could put together.

Didn't you say you have to get rid of Z-Bo or someone to get LeBron?

Who is your best player...

It doesnt have to be Randolph, it can be Crawford or Curry as well.

ZBo does have the most trade value right now, so if we do move him, it wouldnt be for a player like Darko, which was rumored the past offseason. We're gonna get a/some quality player(s) in return.

Crawford also carries trade value because he has played well this year as well.

Curry has gained interest from Charlotte and San Antonio.
