If Mayo continues to put up the mubers he's putting up he will win ROY.

We seen it last year when Durant won it over Horford. If it was a substance award Horford would have won it easy. Durant averaged the most PPG and that caused him to win, I dont see anything different with Mayo this year.
Oh I wasn't arguing that he shouldn't be ROY or anything. I was just wondering what all the hype is about so I checked him out, and that's just my analysis ;p

Nah I know his stats precede him, he isnt as good as some think. But he has the tools to be a superstar. But I think it all depends on his coaches and his drive. Idk even know who the Grizzlies coaches are (I think Ivaroni is the HC) but they arent the guys to get it done Im sure.

How is Lakers/Hornets not on ESPN while Heat/Blazers is > _>
i just feel bad for those of you who will be unable to watch. Should be an amazing game.
lol Personally I'm not too excited about the game. After struggling against Dallas I don't know if a late game rally will be enough against a tough New Orleans team on the road. I'm not predicting loss, I'm predicting another ugly game... with a hopeful win.

Agreed. Too true, it's not always on the players it's the coaches as well. Unfortunately he's on a scrub team where all they're looking for is a win. They want people to score and scoring is Mayo's specialty so I doubt they're stressing anything else on him which does suck because he does have the tools, they've just never been used the right way.

So I'm watching footage OJ Mayo... I don't see what's so special about this cat at all. He leads all rookies with 21 points? Well yea what other rookie is playing 40 mpg? He's a scorer and nothing else. Nothing special defensively only average. INCREDIBLY selfish wow this dude makes all the "Kobe is selfish" talk sound like "Kobe is Steve Nash". He doesn't look like anything more than a young Cuttino Mobley. He hasn't changed from his USC days where all he was is a scorer. Right now at 6'4" all he looks like is a younger Mobley, and at best looks like he'll be a better Ben Gordon at this point.

Granted it's still very early he could become what people think he will be IF he works at it, but I don't see it...

If you guys want a real stud prospect to come out of USC... wait until next year when Demar DeRozan declares for the draft. That's talent right there.
Lakers fans should never talk about somebody being selfish. With the way kobe used to be. OJ is pretty solid at defense he shut down derrick rose last year. OJ is putting up 20 a game and playing great. Your really hating whisper. And of course him and rudy are jacking up shots they are really memphis whole team. And dont try he's a scorer and nothing else. He's gettin no minutes at point because they are letting mike conley and kyle lowry play.

man, i'm so with you
all he does is jack up shots and if he isnt, then Rudy is

And at the end of close games, he tries to hard to be Kobe. Meaning he tries to hard to be "the man"
i noticed that last year. he forces things up during close games.
I think the Ben Gordon comparision is pretty fair
He almost brought memphis back the other night against the suns.

And Btw i guess kobe tries to be like jordan because at crunch time he's forcing as well.

I can't pick a game I want to watch... I've flipped from Portland/Miami to Boston/Atlanta, Sixers/Raptors, and Utah/Washington.

Probably watch the rest of the Sixers game once Portland/Miami goes to halftime.
