Our buddy Tim Benz of WXDX in Pittsburgh tells us that Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley has been fined $10,000 for one of the sacks he applied to Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell on Monday night at FedEx Field.

A player who saw the fine letter told Benz that the Woodley allegedly threw Campbell down “in an intimidating manner.”

Woodley isn’t happy about the fine, and he undoubtedly will appeal.

No flag was thrown for the sack, which is No. 5 on this YouTube reel of every time Campbell was put to the ground on Monday night.

Benz also tells us that Woodley is 50-50 for Sunday’s game with a calf injury originally suffered against the Giants, and that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (shoulder, thumb) practiced but didn’t speak to the media.
It's the 5th one on the video.

This shouldn't even come as a surprise anymore.

what do you mean good fine? he had to bring him down, and he did. Im getting sick of this 5 day delay for fining players on things like sacks. As far as I'm concerned, either flag it and fine it, or leave it be. No flag was thrown, why do they gotta wait till Friday to make the fine?

I think it might be the 4th of the video, where there was celebration and taunting.

he really didnt taunt after 4. If that was taunting, then that means you really cant have ANY reaction to a sack.

5 was a "hard hit", not really a sack that should be fined. Gimme a break.

At least it's isn't as bad of a fine as the one that got rescinded from Justin Tuck. Now that was horrible by the NFL.

Are you serious?! WOW I'm shocked. This is just ruining the NFL with these little stupid fines, soon you won't be able to touch another player. Goodell needs too stop being an idiot!

The interesting thing about Tuck's call was that it never even came across Goodell's desk till yesterday. He said he had never seen the play yet.

Tuck was flagged for a hit on the QB. (Was it bollinger or johnson? i can remember). That was a perfectly legal hit, because the QB was still in throwing motion as he got hit. He was still in the follow through when tuck drilled him. Tuck was fined, but Goodell pulled it away because there was nothing wrong with the hit.

Yea, but Zig Zag mentioned tuck. The idea of the post was how the NFL punished him without Goodell even seeing the play.
