Retirement did not last long for quarterback Daunte Culpepper, who showed his interest in unretiring Thursday afternoon in an email.

In a week in which the Chiefs contacted him, after the Packers and Titans previously had this season, Culpepper now is preparing to sign with a team shortly, writing in his email, “I am going to take another shot at getting back in the League.”

Interesting. I think its a bad move, but if ya need the money then go for it.

Chiefs are not a good football team period. They just have to lose those turtle necks too.

Gray played for Jacksonville, and stepped in for Garrard when he was injured...

nothing special. I suggest they invest in a QB come draft time.

Matthew Stafford, Georgia
Sam Bradford, Oklahoma
Tim Tebow, Florida
Mark Sanchez, Southern Cal

Top 4 Choices...

Sanchez might be liability since he's had so many injuries. I dont think Tebow's going to have the same impact at the NFL level. Other two are going to be good.

What year is Colt McCoy in?

Sanchez will prolly go back for another year, he has only started 1 year.
Colt McCoy is a Jr but announced he is returning for a Senior season.

Culpepper won't be playing anywhere this season.

Too expensive for a half-a-season "stop gap" under center.

The Chiefs obviously have to draft a QB this year, whether its 1st, 2nd or 3rd, they HAVE TO TAKE SOMEONE. But get culpepper, at least so a young QB can settle in, rather than being thrown onto the field right away.

But why would the Chiefs spend that kind of money when their season is already a lost cause?

Throwing Tyler Thigpen or Quinn Gray "to the wolves" for the rest of the season really doesnt matter. It's not like either is going to be their franchise QB anyways.
