Odom To The Bench In LA?

It was only one practice, with a slew of them still remaining before the regular season, but Lamar Odom was not on the starting unit for most of Saturday's session. Odom played primarily with the second string before being shifted to the first unit toward the end of practice. "We're having Lamar come in and play off the bench so that he can start thinking about how he can help the team and what he can do when he does that," Coach Phil Jackson said. "But I don't know if I'll experiment with it in a game yet." Jackson recently said Odom appeared to be playing a game of curling or "doing some other kind of sport" on the court in a Lakers exhibition loss to Utah.

Lamar Odom is a better rebounder as a SF than either Bynum or Gasol are.

I'd definitely have Walton in if they do that. His basketball IQ is amazing for the triangle.

Eric, we'll see Bynum do better this year.

Wow Odom on the bench. He's the Lakers 2nd best player. Odom>Gasol. Odoms a better rebounder, and a better scorer, but Gasol has him on defense

Bynum/Gasol/Ariza/Kobe/Fisher?

I honestly would love to see this tried out. Before Ariza got hurt last year, he was starting to really improve and gel into our offense. Either way though, our starting 5 is gonna be beast this year.

And so what if Odoms one of our best players? Ginobili is one of San Antonio's best players and he comes off the bench doesn't he?
