Helps out both my fav team just like Rip said.
They are soo talented they better win something if they can lock Roy up for years to come.
These picks help us a LOT, Clavin will also see waaay more touches so thats a good thing.
TO also I guess was really happy about this.

Owens to Jerry Jones.

“I called Terrell and he was ecstatic,” Jones revealed. “He was the first person I called after I talked to Roy. As soon as Terrell heard he said, ‘Give me Roy’s number, I have to call him,’ .”

This is what Detroit wanted by the way:

This comes from Hostile over at CBZ. He has a source.

Detroit wanted 2 2nds and Miles Austin.
We ended up giving them a 1st, 3rd, and 6th for Roy and a 7th instead.

on Sportscenter, they said Dallas is already working on a deal with Roy Williams, to make him one of the highest paid WR in the NFL.

That is stupid why? His contract is up this year, lets see how he will play first!

You guys do know we had 13 picks something like that already, so why is this a bad move now we have 11 picks!

Yeah this is a bad move LMAO! Only the haters are saying this because, you know the Cowboys offense will be explosive like hell right now.
Yeah they acquired some picks from moves made in the 2008 draft & some compensatory picks for losing Jones and Reeves to Free Agency. Nothing better than a 2nd round pick...but that's beside the point.

If you think the Cowboys offense will be "explosive like hell" with Brad Johnson under center...think again ForReal.

Dallas' pass offense has not been the problem for this team all season long...your defense and some play-calling errors are to blame. Look at your team's defensive statistics, bottom half of the league in passing yards allowed per game.

Now when you see piss poor statistics on the defensive side of the ball...why the hell do you go out and acquire a WR...especially when your pass offense is already ranked 3rd in the League?

Wake up ForReal...your team's not just going to take the field and win every game with Brad Johnson throwing non-stop touchdown bombs to Terrell Owens and Roy Williams.

from ESPN:
The Cowboys are negotiating a long-term deal with Williams, who can become a free agent after the season unless the team places the franchise tag on him, with owner Jerry Jones working on a contract extension that will keep Williams in Dallas through 2013.

The five-year deal hasn't been completed, but it should get done in the next couple days. Williams' agent, Ben Dogra of CAA, who was in flight after the trade was completed, will work with Jones over the next 24 to 48 hours to finalize the deal, which will pay in the $8.5 million to $9 million a year range, according to multiple sources

"I'm more happy to be a Dallas Cowboy than when I got my first bike," said Williams, an Odessa native who went to the University of Texas
theres the contract information. im so happy this deal happened. roy is a good guy and all, but he was dropping everything for us. i find it ironic that no one called for roy when millen was GM but then he gets fired and roy gets traded just like that

That is actually the most intriguing thing about this trade to me.

Forgot to mention it.

Glad we got rid of Roy Williams. He makes big plays but he isn't consistent enough. 1st rounder and 3rd rounder should help us out. Williams would've bolted to Dallas anyway after the season it wasn't a secret.

Trust me ForReal, as a Vikings' diehard, I can tell you from experience.

Won't be long and you will all be saying..."it's because we don't have Romo."
