INCINNATI -- Disappointed fans of the winless Cincinnati Bengals are trying to unload thousands of tickets for remaining home games, many of them well below face value.

The online ticket agency StubHub.com has 3,000 tickets for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. At least 4,000 tickets are available for each of the remaining games.

Some sellers don't care about making a profit. There are $64 tickets priced as low as $24.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, more than 4,100 tickets are unsold for the Bengals' Nov. 2 game against Jacksonville, and more than 5,000 tickets are currently available for games against Baltimore, Washington and Kansas City.

The Bengals are 0-6 after losing to the New York Jets last weekend.

Longtime fan Steve Carr told the Enquirer it's gotten so he can't even bear to watch the team on TV.

"It's not worth it," Carr, a longtime fan, told the newspaper. "I was yelling at the TV watching that game" Sunday, a 26-14 Cincinnati loss.

Coach Marvin Lewis said he shares that frustration and feels responsible, adding he hopes fans will wait patiently for a turnaround.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

........ Fans have officially given up on this team... They've turned on them... Glad i won't be watching there game this weekend against the Steelers because you'll see more Steeler fans there then Bengal fans. How sad... How embarassing..

The Bengals need support from there fans and you have people giving up on them and jumping off the ship. This is what i call "un-true" fans. You stick with them NO MATTER what. They might suck but theres room for improvement. It's rediculous. I can't even put into words how embarassed i am.

Someone posted this at Bengals.com forum. This is what I call a REAL fan.

"That's kind of unfair to Marvin there... He had nothing to do with 13 of the 18 seasons we didn't make the playoffs. This is only the 3rd season since we went to the playoffs, and in between that year and now we basically lost the draft picks that helped make that '05 season happen... Most through no fault of the team or it's front office.

You sound like a scorned woman in a fight with her husband bringing up things that during the '05 season most fans felt was water under the bridge... Honestly it's like if I was in a fight with my wife today and she brought up things her ex boyfriend did, or things that happened so long ago they are only used to just fuel the fight...

In all seriousness, during the '05 and '06 season I can't count how many times people on this site called out the "fairweather" "Where were you" fans daily... and now that things look bleek, the ones that were calling people out for abandoning the franchise from '92-2005 have been the first ones talking about not going to games, or buying tickets, merchandise etc.

So many people in here are the embodiment and direct definition of "Fairweather" fan. When things are good, they are the "I still have my Boomer/Anderson/Stofa gear, I have been and always will be a fan", but the moment things get bad they claim they never said they would be a fan even if we went 0-16... I wish I could pull up quotes from the '05 season and even the '06 season just to prove my point... Sayings like that were rampant and all over this board, even from people who had no inkling of who Jeff Blake was, or Dugan, or even Peter Warrick.

There was so much talk about, If I have suffered this long with the team, I can suffer through any season... but when it came time to actually put the cards on the table, I would say at least 2/3rd's of those "die-hard" "I'm a lifer" fans making those comments and posts have tucked their tail between their legs and shown their true colors...

I'm not at all happy with the performance of this team, nor am I happy about who the owner is, or who runs the day to day operations of the team. But my true colors are still and always will be Orange and Black... even if we don't make the playoffs for another 30 years.

Call me an enabler, Bengalized, or whatever you want... Organize your "I'm a revolutionary" revolts... Throw your money away on a useless banner tied to tha back of an airplane. Waste your time on a cause that will never have a payoff. Pretend that not showing up to the game will hurt Mike Brown's feelings. But if you do get your butt off your shoulders long enough to get some fresh air, maybe your brain will realize that in the socialist world of the NFL, these "hit the Brown/Blackburn clan in the pocket" tough guys don't realize that your boycott, and your rants really are meaningless, and that through revenue sharing Mike Brown gets paid regardless of how many people don't use the tickets they've already bought, and he will get paid all the same next year even if he doesn't sell a single season ticket.

The fact you let the way your team performs consume you so much, that you are actually going to waste your hard earned cash and your time on organizing walk-outs, and protests, etc. shows that your priorities in life are skewed beyond imagination. For Chris' sake folks, it's a game... even when the team loses I still enjoy watching every second of the game, whether I'm there in person (not every game anymore since I live half way across the country now) or watching the game at my favorite sports bar, or even at home on my big screen. My dad was finally able to buy season tix starting in the '90 season, and we went to every home game until '96 (which is when he got orders to move from Dayton)... but the reason I enjoyed the games so much then and now, is that I am spending time with my friends and family.

The Bengals games were great because it was pretty much the only time I spent with my dad... I know the Bengals were horrid during most of those years, but what I truly recall the most was the connection my dad and I shared, and how much fun I was having just being able to watch my heroes in stripes take the field. Sure some wins in there would have been great, some playoff games would have been cool... the thing that really stuck with me wasn't whether the Bengals won or lost, it was the atmosphere, and the extended family (of the season tix holders around our seats) we became a part of. I wouldn't trade it for anything. The Bengals are like another appendage on my body... or a child even. No matter what they do, I love them with out condition... I want them to be one of the league's elite, but I'm not going love them less if they are bottom dwellers either.

Sorry this post is so long... I just couldn't stop rolling once I started. If I don't stop now, I may not ever be able to stop this rant."

All I can say...

If the product they are putting out is sh*t...why should fans pay hard-earned money to watch them play?

I hope they kick the steelers asses come Sunday. I would LAUGH MY ASS OFF if they beat the steelers with a backup QB. Maybe the fans will rejoin as one, lol
