They could be a 7th seed.

As far as I see it, no. The only reason they made it last year was because of how weak the East was. The Heat have surpassed them and that's a fact, the Bulls are also a better team if you ask me and even the Bobcats might be better.

Dude thats kinda dumb We're definately better than the Bobcats! The bulls and heat both aren't as talented as us. Look at the Heats roster! all around they just aren't as good. We could even compare our lineups

PG-Mike Bibby
SG-Joe Johnson
SF-Marvin Williams
PF-Josh Smith
C-Al Horford

PG-Mario Chalmers/Shaun Livingston
SG-Dwayne Wade
SF-Shawn Marion
PF-Michael Beasley
C-Jamaal Magloire

We have a more expirienced backcourt and a more athletic team all together. We don't even have to start on our bench because they're 2x better than theirs. The Bulls are good but not good enough to be considered better than us due to their problems and with them starting a rookie at PG already. I still can't believe you mentioned the Bobcats! LMAO!

The Bobcats are the exact same team that the Hawks were last year. I can go on and on with the similarities. You're only saying these things because you're a biased homer and a newb, I think most people think the Heat and Bulls will both be in the playoff race. And if you really want to compare the Hawks and Heat, let's look at starting lineup.

PG - Bibby vs. Livingston/Chalmers - Edge goes to Atlanta.
SG - Johnson vs. Wade - Edge goes to Miami
SF - Smith vs. Marion - Edge goes to Miami
PF - Marvin Williams vs. Beasley - Edge goes to Miami
C - Horford vs. Magloire - Edge goes to Atlanta

And Miami's bench is better than Atlanta's. Miami has Udonis Haslem, Mark Blount, Chalmers or Livingston, Daequan Cook, James Jones, Dorell Wright, and even Mourning if he's healthy.

All ATL has is Acie Law, Zaza, Flip Murray and Mo Evans

dude your missed up Marv plays SF so Miami gets that edge but Josh Smith plays PF which means we get that edge makin it 3-2 with us having advantage. James Jones???? theonly actaully good bench players they have are Livingston, Mourning,Haslem and Wright. Man if you know anything about what how the playerson our bench jave improvedover the off-season you'd have Solomon Jones on that list. Do you know anything about Mario West? if not then when should probably just end this now and say that your opinion isn't to be taken seriously. Dude I'm not even being biased I have alotta close friends that are Heat fans and I never just say the Hawks are better than them and everyone else. Did you look at the Bobcats vs Magic score, a 118-80 loss compared to our 118-101 win? I strongly disagree that they are similar to us. Your underestimating us and undermining our work to get into the playoffs last season. If the Bulls, Bobcats and Heat are so much better we'e where they in the playoffs last year? Even if they did make it I highly don't they could even take the Celtics to 7 games. Even if we did lose the series we got alotta farther than most teams could've/did.

First off, it doesn't matter what position plays what. When the Hawks play the Heat, Marion will guard Smith. Therefore, they're matched up together. You're trying to say James Jones, who has thrived as a great bench player in Phoenix and Portland in the past 3 years, shouldn't be on the list, yet Solomon Jones and Mark Blount SHOULD? Get outta town. You also forgot Mark Blount, who is a solid big off the bench. Much better than that Solomon Jones piece of trash.

Why are you using preseason games to bolster your arguement? I guess that means the Hawks > the Suns as well because they beat them IN THE PRESEASON ZOMG!!! [/sarcasm] The fact that Miami and Chicago didn't make the playoffs last year means absolutely nothing. They're both different teams than what they were last year, you can't say dumb <Censored> like the Hawks are better because they made it LAST YEAR.

You're also highly overrating the fact that the Hawks took the Celtics to 7 games. The Lakers didn't do that. Does that mean Hawks > Lakers??? The Hawks lost in the first round, just like the Mavericks, Raptors, Nuggets, Wizards, 76ers, Rockets, and Suns. And what does that mean for this year? JACK <Censored>.

The Hawks are a bunch of undisiplined athletes than when at their best can be a 7 or 8 seed like last year, but unless they play their best all year long that won't happen.

Quit being a noob, how does it feel to have a deuce dropped on your arguement.
