Bengals LB Darryl Blackstock has been banned by the NFL for the next 4 games, for testing positive for a performance enhancing substance.
More bad news from a team that has been troubled by plenty of player conduct issues within the last 3 seasons.
Signed in the offseason as a free agent, Blackstock claims that one of his nutritional supplements contained an ingredient banned by the league. Blackstock released a statement Wednesday, in which he said he has apologized to his teammates and coaches.
Blackstock has played in all 5 games for the Bengals this season, to include 1 starting role. Prior to signing with the Bengals, Blackstock spent 4 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. -AE
