There will be an official predictions thread made in the month of September. Like I said, it's too early...

Detroit at 2 seems good to me.. Same roster they had last year and they finished 2nd in the NBA last year.

I think it's unfair that people are just counting us out completely, we still have the team that has made it to 6 straight ECF. Until someone beats us before that I think we are fine.

Though a trade was really necessary this year, and I highly doubt we contend for the Finals, but I'll still be here defending my team saying we can.

There's two reasons why I would think Detroit COULD move down -

A) New coach
B) Although the Pistons didn't get any worse, they didn't get any better, while several contenders in the East did.

IDK we'll see, we promised no arguing till the season sooooooo i'm playin this one cool.

Lol the reason I think we will stay up at 2 is the fact we have a new coach. And hopefully the fact Amir emerges this year.

Too early.
Kinda, but if we go with what they got and how they could play then it's not. Anyways funny thing about this is. On another site this is how I picked the top 8 for east and west.

I could see the Hawks winning maybe 40, the rest of the East is nearly what I would expect though.

I can't believe the NBA starts back up in only 2 months!

Well the Pistons were planning to rebuild their team, meaning they trade some of their starters, and the Magic, Cavs, and Wizards are improving their rosters while the Pistons have not.

yea but we still have a top 10 team and top 3 in the East. We don't need to make any moves right now, it's just Dumars wanted to let us know if we don't play good and if we keep being lazy and not putting 100% we will be moved. And it also takes two to tango.

We'll be fine, but after this season we really need to try and get younger, or even during the season. We are too old and it will only hurt us if we stay like this.

Yeah, we really didn't have to do anything to stay above the pack, minus the Celtics. We are still one of the better teams in the league.

But this is defiantly going to be the final run with the current roster. Sheed and Dyess are expiring, which relieves us of around 20 million. And I HIGHLY doubt we bring either back. Maybe use a bit of the MLE on Sheed, but nothing more.

Your right, but I don't see anyone offering more than a MLE for him.

He either comes back for that or retires IMO.
