I don't know all the details but I saw it on ESPN. Only things I know are that we gave up Joe Smith and Damon Jones and received Mo Williams. The Bucks got Luke Ridnour from OKC, I don't know if there is more.

So far this is what i know:

Cavs get:
Mo Williams

Bucks get:
Luke Ridnour
Damon Jones

OKC gets:
Joe Smith

Nice for the Cavs, they can still try to get Delonte too. Mo still isn't the true PG but he'll help enough.

Still don't think the Cavs can get over the hump with this.
And is Smith expiring? Cause if he isn't I don't see what OKC is doing.
Bucks are better off without the deal too IMO.

Mo Williams is better then anything we could have gotten for Joe Smith and Damon Jones. 17 points per game on 48% shooting, thank you I'll take it.

And yes Joe Smith is expiring.

I know Mo Williams is the man, but I think you need a bit more to make it over the hump.

The Cleveland LeBrons would have made the playoffs either way. In 2010 this will be Mo's team lol.

He can get 18 and 5, that will help a LOT, but still they are just that much away. Maybe they should try to get a better big at the PF spot.

The trade is actually:

CLEVELAND, OH - August 13th, 2008 - The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired guard Mo Williams from the Milwaukee Bucks, Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry announced today. In exchange, the Cavaliers sent guard Damon Jones to the Milwaukee Bucks and forward/center Joe Smith to Oklahoma City. The additional components of the three-team trade included Milwaukee acquiring guard/forward Adrian Griffin and guard Luke Ridnour from Oklahoma City and Oklahoma City acquiring forward Desmond Mason from Milwaukee.

Cavaliers Get: Mo Williams

Bucks Get: Damon Jones, Adrian Griffin, Luke Ridnour

OKC Get: Joe Smith, Desmond Mason

well OKC doesn't need Ridnour with the drafting of Russell Westbrook and Earl Watson off the bench. now they get Mason and Smith. Griffin was useless too

don't know why the Bucks did this trade though losing Mo and Mason. then again they had a jam at SF with RJ, Joe Alexander and him

Mo didn't fit with Redd and RJ, they are both score first PG fit with that? Sure he gets around 5apg but that still don't help 2 other score first players.

Its about time the cavs make a move to improve their chances of bringing LeBron back in 2010.

I think Mo Williams will fit perfectly with the Cavs, they now have three very reliable scorers in LeBron, Big Z and Mo.

But you also have to think about where this puts Delonte, he's the odd man out, he wont be starting so that might hurt his chances of re-signing....

Most likely we will just sign West to the qualifying offer of like 1 year 2.8 mill and try and trade him probably. But this also gives us leverage on West. Now we have a new PG and don't need to give him the money he wants.

True.

But he also may take it the wrong way, and opt to leave for somewhere else. But Im not sure if he's restricted or not.

If he does re-sign that gives you guys two very solid PG's and I think West is even better as a back-up.

I like the moves for the bucks they get some expiring contracts and get a their perfect pg in ridnour. Mo is good but he's kind of a ballhog. Hopefully he calms that down in Cleveland
