The Steelers have signed QB's Byron Letwich and Daunte Culpepper after losing Batch for the season to a broken collerbone. Both will compete through the preseason for the backup job but Leftwich seems like the better fit as Cullpeper may not take much pride in carrying a clipboard.

Where did you get this information? The Steelers haven't signed any Quarterbacks since Batch went down. I have looked at every major news outlet, NFL.Com, and the Steelers' Official Website...absolutely nothing about Pittsburgh even rumored to sign either Culpepper or Leftwich.

I think you misread a rumor.

I read this and all I see is you need to shut the <Censored> up!
This is one of those times when even a rumor would be better than just reading some bs on another forum

It's not about being "Owned", it's just the information is inaccurate. I thought it was suspect that the Steelers would sign both Leftwich and Culpepper as a potential back up to Roethelisberger...hence why I had to find the information for myself.

As I thought this isn't true & Hova posted somebody else's rumor as a story. Lesson to be learned but hey...we are all human.

Not a big deal.

Steelers are dumb

Big Ben, Leftwitch, Culpepper all on 1 team?

Having 1 is ok but not smart this is just dumb

Greg, a report said that Leftwirch hasn't even gotten there to workout for them yet. Why would they even need both. Untill I see this on ESPN none of it is true.

I still don't understand why they would SIGN both of them. Now they have Big Ben, Culpepper, Leftwich, and Dixon at the position.

Well Dixon isn't a QB. He's a slasher will probably be a WR

Yeah, but in all reality, Dixon will never be able to be a starting QB in this league. My guess is they have Cullpeper and Leftwich compete for the backup spot and the loser is cut.

He doesnt have to workout with them for him to be signed. And they are COMPETING for the 2nd string job, thats why they have both.
