No. Patriots,Browns,Pittsburgh,Colts,Jacksonville,Chargers are all with out a doubt better. Plus Bengals are just as good as them, Broncos can compete also.

I don't think you realize a few things. Team strength alone doesn't get you into the playoffs. The Jets have a VERY favorable schedule. Besides meeting the Patriots twice they only play 3 other teams that made the playoffs last season. Brett Favre's addition to the team is going to make them head and shoulders better than what they were last year; I certainly think they're going to make the playoffs as the 5 or 6 seed.

And BTW, the Bengals are awful...

^ bias.

Jets play Patriots 2 times, that's two losses right there. Buffalo is a decent team, improving every year. Miami is awful. In there division I'll give them 3-3 record. I think Buffalo can win their home game against them. I haven't looked at the rest of their schedule. Jets will have to compete against the Browns/Pittsburgh and Colts/Jags for the wild card spots. Tough competition. Sure their offense is better, but D is still mediocre at best. Secondary minus Rhodes is weak imo. Revis is decent. Vilma is a big lost to their line backing core. Last year Favre didn't do it all himself. Packers had a really good defense who could score points themselves. I'll give them 3 more games won then I would've predicted(4-12). So I give them 7-9, 9-7 at best. Last season it took what 10-6 to get in the playoffs? I'll give them a shot no doubt, but I'm not putting them in just because of Favre.

They have been able to compete with New England every year. (If you don't count the first game of the Reg Season last year)

edit: lemme make this more clear, I mean contend with New England in the games they play each other. NOT record-wise.

Not a chance. Too many other teams are ahead of them at this point.

Favre had much more help in GB than he does right now. In GB he had a better defense and way more playmakers on offense.

No one said they'd be as good as green bay was last year as a #2 seed. Jets are gonna prolly be a 5 or 6 seed.

4. Browns (could switch with PIT)

6. Steelers (could switch with CLE)

You act like there's no such thing as injuries in the NFL. For instance, let's say Tom Brady gets inured. What happens to the Pats then?

It's just predictions. This would obviously change if there were injuries being factored in. Even so, Favre has to learn a new system and the talent level with the Jets isn't the same as last year in GB. When Favre actually threw more TD's than picks. unlike the two years before that.

Same thing that would happen if any QB got injured... The backup plays, and you suck it up.

Brady is better than most, but any team that loses their starting QB is generally gonna be <Censored>ed.

Lol. Your saying that the Jets will make it because someone important will get injured? What happens if Favre gets injured?

NO. Their defense has too many question marks. They do have better suited players for the 3-4 scheme heading into the season but they still have some more growing to do & I feel as though their defense is at least 1 season away from being able to keep teams like New England, San Diego, and Indy from putting up mass points.

Kris Jenkins' health is going to be key for the Jets' d-line to stay competitive. Shaun Ellis can be a monster at DE on the left side but Coleman on the right side has just been disappointing.

Good pickup in LB Calvin Pace and good draft pick in Gholston...but both converted DE's have to prove themselves in NY yet, David Harris is still learning the system, and Eric Barton is nothing flashy.

The secondary is where the Jets' have the biggest issue. Darrelle Revis is a good combo of size and speed but other teams #2 WR's are bound for big games due to the fact that there's no lock-down CB playing on the other side of the field. Same thing even deeper as Kerry Rhodes is a monster in the secondary...but who the hell is Abram Elam at FS?
