Charlie Batch will likely miss the 2008 season after fracturing his collarbone in the Steelers' preseason opener Friday night.
Next up: Dennis Dixon. This may threaten Batch's career, as he's in the last year of his deal and turns 35 in 2009. The free agent QB market is thin, but the Steelers will begin scouring immediately. Kordell Stewart wants back in. Brian Griese, Chris Simms, Josh McCown, John Beck, Quinn Gray, Damon Huard, Anthony Wright, and Brooks Bollinger could all be available shortly.

That's unfortunate for Pitt. None of their other QB's really impress me. I mean, I wouldn't want to rely on Dennis Dixon if Big Ben goes down.

Time to work a deal with Arizona to get Brian St. Pierre back in a Steelers' uniform.

Greatest 3rd string QB ever, by the way.

Yeah, just got done watching the game. Hes a good back up but Dennis Dixon is so dang exciting I would love for him to get some time the last few games of the season when we have our playoff spot locked up.

He's a scrambler. Not sure if that's the type of guy you want to lead your team though. The Pats are just as screwed though if Brady goes down. Matt Cassell? :suicide:

Dixon is no NFL Quarterback.

Well your quarterback stays healthy if you have a good o-line.
