Former Knick Houston looking for NBA team

Allan Houston plans to make another attempt at a comeback this fall and it is possible he could get a second try with the Knicks. The 37-year-old Houston told Newsday Tuesday that his agent, Bill Strickland, has been in touch with a few teams and is in preliminary discussions about a training camp tryout. Talks aren't expected to heat up until after Labor Day. "I don't know where it's going to be, but I'm looking forward to it," Houston said about the comeback attempt, which would be his second in as many years. "I think the biggest thing is I want to be somewhere where I can be a good fit." -- Newsday

Well he still could play, just had injury issues. He's 37, and shooters can last a while. He just won't be as quick as he used to be. But he'd still be a great shooter.

Maple is right.

Shooters never lose their touch, but I dont think any team will pick him up unless he agrees to sign for the veteran's minimum.

Shooters never lose there touch because of a thing called muscle memory. Only way he can if he weight lifts and doesn't shoot for a week or two. The slightest gain can throw off your touch.

I would say its because of the "touch"

NBA players, especially shooters, perfect their jumpshot. I HIGHLY doubt b/c of his weight gain his shot will be off.

You never forget your form.

Only reason why J-Chill, Kevin Martin, and Michael Redd all have odd forms and they go in is because they practice for hours to keep that form. There muscles remember how much strength from different locations on the floor. Google that $ <Censored> and I'm right dez. In an NBA workout they start in the gym to build muscle and go to the court to shoot to help regain there touch due to the gain of muscle to help the muscles remember again. Hint that they do shoot almost 600+ shots during there workouts also.
