The Orlando Magic have held serious trade talks with the Memphis Grizzlies about point guard Javaris Crittenton.

Crittenton is part of the backcourt logjam in Memphis and would welcome a trade.

"I know there's a lot of interest between the two teams and I have a call in to Otis (Smith) to talk to him about it," his agent Wallace Prather said on Monday. "We know a lot of the players on the Magic team, so it would be a good fit for Javaris."

Crittenton played high school basketball with Dwight Howard.

To get Crittenton, the Magic would most likely surrender veteran shooting guard Keith Bogans and multiple draft picks. Orlando has a glut of shooting guards with Pietrus, Bogans, J.J. Redick and rookie Courtney Lee.

I would like to see Crit get out of Memphis, with Conley and Lowry there he doesnt stand too much chance of getting ample PT.

He's going to be a VERY good player, just needs PT.

He would be a decent backup for Jameer Nelson if Arroyo and Dooling don't stick around.

I believe he would take Jameer's spot.

Yeah, that could happen too, it will be a close battle for the starting spot in my opinion. I guess they'll just have to see once (and if) they get him.

We all know new signee Anthony Johnson won't even stand a chance at the starting spot.

Damn I wish LA would have traded Farmar instead of Critt. Muh man Critt is the next big thing. Had he stayed in LA to continue to learn under Kobe... that'd be sick.

I dont see him staying in Memphis either. Too many young guards there.
