The Pistons are targeting both James Posey and Mickael Pietrus through free agency this month, according to The Macomb Daily.

Posey has been targeted by a number of teams with the mid-level exception, with the Celtics, Lakers, and Hornets reportedly interested in his services.

Detroit is looking for someone to play behind Tayshaun Prince, having used Mo Evans, Carlos Delfino, Ronald Dupree and Jarvis Hayes in the past.
If we get Pietrus he will be my new favorite Pistons :]

No but seriously I hope we do reel in one of these 2, mayeb both. :eek:

Pietrus = WAY too inconsistent

Posey is the better of the two IMO, especially in the playoffs. Pietrus brings more athleticism though

Pietrus has like no BBall IQ,but he can still play. I'd like both but like I said I'll be happy with one.

Nah keep Sharpe, I've heard great things about him.

Trade like Dyess and Tay or Billups and Tay for someone. IDK.

I know he is somewhat of a shot blocker but turning him into a SF and trying to get some more SF isn't going to work.

I'd rather have Maggette, Posey was real good, but Maggette is better.
Doubt you get Posey or Corey. You guys drafted Bill so he could play a big role.

The Celtics have made contract offers to two forwards: Their own free agent, James Posey, and Clippers free agent Corey Maggette, sources told the Boston Globe. The most the Celtics could offer is the mid-level exception (about $5.8 million), and it's doubtful that they could sign both players. The terms of the offers were not disclosed.
