from Dallas Morning News.com
Rick Carlisle gushed about getting a player of Shan Foster's quality with the 51st overall pick. Of course, that doesn't guarantee Foster a spot on the roster.

"He'll have a chance," Carlisle said. "He'll have to earn it, but there's opportunity here."

Carlisle mentioned that Foster's perimeter shooting ability is something the Mavs need. The coach also likes the fact that Foster was a four-year college guy and praised his maturity and basketball IQ.

Carlisle opened his press conference with a comment about how long the Mavs waited.

"There was a lot of conversation about it," Carlisle said about moving up. "This draft was so deep that people were reluctant to part with their first-round picks and early second-round picks."

Yeah he looks really good with his shot. Could be a steal. Might be biased but IDC. They say he's clutch with his shot to. His a few game winners at his time.

His best performance of his career came this year. Had 42. Hit like 3-4 30 footers to win in OT. And hit the game winner with 2.7.

And more highlights

Actually no he didn't some dude from La Salle did, but to stay on topic I think he could/should make it on the Pacers roster.

Yea, should be a solid pick. At least he can hit shots....darn that Eddie Jones. (He was supposed to be one that could hit those shots)

A lot now think him and Reyshawn Terry who we drafted last year and played last year in Europe, and Foster will fight for a roster spot. But whoever makes it will get playing time.

Aw sweet, they are bringing Terry back. Bet that year in Europe helped him quite a bit.
