Pistons trying to get Baron?

The Pistons are reportedly looking to deal for Golden State point guard Baron Davis, according to The Detroit Free Press.

Davis is not expected to opt-out of his contract, meaning that he will play out the final year of his deal worth $17.8 million.

After getting the cold shoulder from the Nuggets regarding Carmelo Anthony, the Pistons are rumored to be focused on Davis currently.

Likely pieces in the deal would be Chauncey Billups, Rasheed Wallace, and Al Harrington.

I would also like this, but damn with all these rumors some sort of deal better get done lol.

This is a great trade for the Detroit Pistons.....not so much for Golden State though.

Rasheed has pretty much said he's done after this year and Chauncey is decent but he's getting up there.

Stuckey is going to be awesome this year though, so it'll be interesting to see how well him and Baron play together if this deal goes through.

Joe Dumars is one of the best GM's in the NBA, if this deal collapses, he'll make another great deal somewhere else.

Yeah I saw this earlier, I love Al Harrington, and Baron Davis is awesome. That deal would be amazing. What's even better is that Baron has 17 Mil expiring, instead of Sheed's 13. But I agree with R6, if this deal collapses, Joey D will just jump right on another deal.
