In a way, I kind of believe him, but then again, he's trying to get a lesser sentence.

I can't really choose any of them. I do believe the NBA is rigged in certain situations, I do not believe it is always rigged, nor do I think it was just twice but I do believe the NBA is rigged. People say oh well he's been proven to be a liar and un-trustworthy. The guy is fighting to get a lesser jail time, so obviously the man is going to tell the truth to get it down, not lie some more.

I do think the league is rigged (what i voted for), but obviously he's deciding to mention this to get a lighter sentence. I'm sure he wouldn't have really wanted to reveal this to everyone because what it could cause, but he was forced it really.

edit: but I don't think the league is rigged to the point that it's too overwhelming. I just believe that it has probably happened sometime other than in an 02 and 05 series. Hopefully, not too often though.

I have a problem with option one and option three.

Option One - The league isn't rigged, a number of referees decided to rig it.

I'm a fan but I just see it coming. I think more names will be leaked, more games we will find out were fixed and we will eventually go through a stage wondering if a game is actually fixed.

I'm pretty sure option three means that the only time it was rigged was during the 02 series with the lakers/kings and the 05 series with the mavs/rockets.

Well, like someone mentioned earlier.. when you try and get a lesser sentence, you usually try to confess things that ACTUALLY happened. If not, you're sentence is only gonna go up.

How would anyone know it isnt rigged though? It wont add too his sentance unless Stern comes out and says it was indeed rigged, which he probably wouldnt do.

People do crazy/terrible things all the time, I wouldnt be that shocked.

And? There are people out there who kill their families dude. Makes no sense, its disgusting, but they do it. I'm not sayin dude's makin' up that these games were rigged, but he very well could be. No way anyone can prove either way though

Very true. But if this guy is confident enough to mention this, it probably means he must have some sort of evidence to back it up. If not, this won't do anything but hurt him.

What I wanna know is how it will hurt him? They asked him to confess not solve the case. Why would he need evidence? It couldnt hurt sure, but he shouldnt need it.

Are you comparing killing your families and betting on games? They do not connect at all.. The guy has a bad gambling habit and wanted to make extra cash, and I bet more then one ref are in on this.
