From realgm.com
Timberwolves' General Manager Kevin McHale is looking at taking UCLA freshman Kevin Love with the third pick in next month's NBA Draft, according to DraftExpress.com.

Numerous sources with ties to Minnesota confirmed that McHale's favorite prospect is Love although some would consider him a reach that early in the draft.

There are also rumors that the Wolves could look to trade the pick for veteran talent.

This can't be right. Maybe in a trade down, but Love at the 3rd pick? Way too high and IMO Brook Lopez is a better C than him right now, but I guess the Wolves are looking into the future. If he does make this pick we can all place bets on how fast he gets fired.

I actually think Love is the better of the two, talent-wise. They can put him at PF along Jefferson at C, instead of moving Al to PF for Lopez

IMO, Al Jefferson is much more suited for the PF than the C, but that might just be me. Plus, putting Love and Jefferson in the post would make it look awfully short when other teams have 7'0"+ monsters.

Brook Lopez will be a bust.... maybe not a total bust, but he isnt worth a high lottery pick

I dont see what teams see in him, they should already know Stanford is incapable of producing superstar NBA talent (i.e Collins brothers, Casey Jacoben). He'll probably be a solid NBA player, and play a "PJ Brown" type role throughout his career.

But if the T'Wolves do take Love, the Griz will most likley take Lopez, then that means Mayo will most likley be there at 6 for us....Thank GOD. Lord knows I dont want to see a Gallinari pick.

He won't be a bust. He'll be decent.

A "decent" player isnt worth a top five pick. IMO that would be a bust.

Kevin Love was a highly touted coming out of High School as Beasley and Mayo.. I really think he'll be something more than decent

No we're not talking about Love, its Lopez. I think Love will be a great NBA player.

I think Lopez will be a good player, and he'd be a perfect fit with Jefferson at PF.

The Wolves should pick Lopez, but even without reading this story I would have guessed they might pick Love.

I wish the Bulls would pick Love, too, and of course to pick Beasley. Either player I'd be happy with.

I dont want either one of these players, I want Mayo or Bayless with the three pick, cuz im pretty sure beasley/rose will be gone by the 3rd pick.

I'd say Lopez or Mayo....too high for Love. Plus Al isn't much of a C he's more of a PF.
