The Akron Beacon Journal -
Just moments after being eliminated at the hands of the revamped Celtics, LeBron James told reporters that he would welcome more personnel moves in Cleveland, according to The Akron Beacon Journal.

"I think what we have is very good, but we need to continue to get better. We know that," James said. "If that means some personnel changes that need to happen, then so be it. The teams around us in the league are continuing to get better."

The Cavaliers could have as much as $30 million in expiring contracts to work with this summer, with the possibility of dealing them to teams looking for cap room in the summer of 2009.

They also have the $5.5 mid-level exception to use, as well as the 19th pick in June's NBA Draft.
Wasn't LeBron all like THANK GOSH after they made the huge trade earlier this season? Now he wants more?

He has every right to want more. That big trade was a bunch of scrubs for a bunch of scrubs. Ben Wallace isn't what he used to be, Delonte is VERY inconsistent and not the ball-handler they need. Joe Smith is decent, and Wally hasn't done jack. He needs a good ball-handling and passing PG along with another scorer, preferably a scoring SG while keeping Big Z at C and HOPING Ben Wallace can look like his old self at PF.

Well I just don't think he can want more trades after saying he was happy with the ones he previously gotten.

Ask anyone in the league, they always want more help. I see no big deal in this.

Exactly. Especially with his sub-par supporting cast. If I were him I'd keep asking until you had a team of all-stars out there, or heck, win a championship. Put yourself in his shoes. How pissed would you be that you do everything in your power one year to get a team to the Finals then receive no help and get swept. Then the year after get thrown around in Game 7 because only ONE more person could score double digits. It's just sad.

And...your point is. Even if you trade Anderson Varajao for KG, you still want to get better.

Not really. But James is kind of a cry baby is how I see it. They lost, he is sort of complaining that he wants a better team.

Plus he's supposed to be like the strongest player in the NBA, too me he sure doesn't play like it.

It'll be interesting to see who they sign, there's a lot of good available players this year.

You can't knock on LBJ... He's done all that he can, and they haven't helped him enough...

If you are a good scorer, you need a good sidekick... Big Z isn't one of them.

Kobe has Gasol.
Iverson has Anthony, or vice versa.
Pierce has Garnett/Allen.
McGrady has Yao, or vice versa.
Dirk has JH5.

And...

LBJ has Big Z...

They need to get him a consistent scorer... And a real PG.

The Cavaliers came close to getting Ray Allen or Michael Redd a few seasons ago, too bad...

Seriously though, this is almost reminiscent of Kobe, except Kobe kept himself in Sports headlines every week. Bron won't do that, hopefully...

I understand, I'm just saying for our sake...

I don't want this offseason to be like Kobe in the last one.

and the choir said AMEN!! The timing may not be spot on perfect but LBJ wants to win badly and he deserves the best supporting cast money can buy.
