From realgm.com
Magic shooting guard J.J. Redick expects to play with the team next season, but he hasn't backed off his request to be traded if he doesn't earn playing time, according to The Orlando Sentinel.

"I want to play. There were a lot of things that were said last summer and in the preseason, you know, and I thought I was going to play. It didn't happen," Redick said.

"I'm certainly not going to sit there and hear the same stuff and think I'm going to get the same results. I'm going to put some of this on myself to get better, but there's got to be an opportunity for me to get on the court," the former Duke guard added.

What does he swear he's a superstar? I wouldn't play him even on my depleted Heat. He just isn't worth it and a total bust.

I also saw this on PTI

And I agree, Redick could be a solid NBA player, very nice role player for a team that needs a shooter. He'd be good for 10-14PPG IMO. He's not going to get any better in Orlando and they mind as well get something for him.

Redick would be starting on the Heat. Sorry but its true. This guy isn't a total bust, he can score. I agree with him, whats the point of being in the NBA if you don't get any playing time.

Starting where? Wade is our SG, Marion our SF, Haslem our PF, and right now Banks and Blount our PG and C respectively. And with Daquan Cook who is much more athletic than him, he'd be riding pine, trust me.

Wade is hurt, Marion is hurt, Haslem is hurt. So they don't count until they start playing again.

Umm it's the offseason. How does it not count? We're talking about playing in the 2008-2009 season, not today. You seriously think Marion and Haslem were hurt? Ha you believed that crap? Wade wasn't even hurt, just had lingering affects from his previous injury. If we were let's say a 6th seed they would all be playing. Redick just would not fit us.

Aha, so you admit that they were bombing for a high pick. THey should be penalized.

And no I didn't believe they were really hurt, I thought they were bombing.

Of course they were, it was super obvious they were. When you have guys that not even I have ever heard of, you are tanking. They obviously were tanking while resting players and not hurting them in order to be ready for next season. There is no doubt in my mind.

Hmmm could of sworn it was you during the season arguing that they weren't tanking. Maybe it was some other Miami fan on the board...

I definitely don't remember doing that. Plus, there's no way to argue for that, it's just illogical. What are you going to say, Marion seriously hurt his foot which seemed to not bother him at all while in Phoenix? Ha!

Uh....IDK. I"m saying they were tanking last season. Which should be against the rules....its just cheap. Hopefully it comes around and bites them in the butt.

I didn't mean you as in YOU, I meant it in rhetorical way. Anyways, I really hope it doesn't. Either way we really do need the top 2 pick.

Lol well whatever. They tanked, no way to argue against it. But, they needed to tank and I bet most of the teams like the Sonics and Knicks tanked as well. We all need it bad. That is why the lottery is a horrible idea.

Then how would they fix the problem??? I think the lottery is probably the most fair thing they can do.

AFF, how is he a bust? NOBODY THOUGHT HE'D BE GOOD IN THE FIRST PLACE!

He needs to be traded, Orlando isn't the place for him. I'd be ecstatic if he wound up in Denver, or I guess now the Knicks, could be a perfect fit.

True no one knew he would be good, but he's a waist of a lottery pick, that's for sure.

Why is that? He hasn't gotten hardly any playing time ever in his career. We still don't know what he can do, just a few glimpses here and there. (and those glimpses have been pretty nice)

So airballing a layup and making a 3 here and there are nice? I wouldn't want that, especially the airballing part.
