I have a few problems with these rankings, mainly being the Giants being so low. We won the Superbowl for goodness sake. Im not saying we should be #1 or 2 for that matter. But we should at least be in the top 5. I feel the Cowboys are a little high. My top 5 would be:

1. Pats
2. Chargers
3. Colts
4. Jags
5. Giants

Steelers best in division.

No way Pats are #1 with all that they lost in their secondary. No way.

They lost 2 guys, one CB and one S that they already have 2 replacements for. As for Samuel, he's just like Ty Law, a product of their system. They could easily insert any CB they have especially their 2nd round pick Terrence Wheatley. Or heck, move Meriweather to CB and keep Sanders and Harrison at S. They are definitely the best team in the league, even as much as I hate them. When they lose a non-playoff/preseason game, then we can start talking about someone else being better.

I would say its a toss up b/t the Pats and Chargers.

The Pats did take a huge hit losing Samuel, but like every other player they've let go, they'll find a replacement, thus why they're still #1 in my top 5.

Haha Randall Gay? The guys a nickel corner at best! They can easily replace him and I emphasize easily. He wasn't anything special. Samuel was better, but not a Bailey or heck even DeAngelo Hall type of guy.

How in the world are the Lions all the way down at 29. That's terrible, who ever made this is a complete moron. 20 would be right IMO.

LMAO. Lions fans saying that they should be higher than 29 is laughable, especially 20. The Texans, Jets, Ravens, Broncos, Bears, and Rams are definitely better than you guys. The 49ers could be alright if they resolve the situation at QB, the Bengals have an offense 20x better than yours, and the Raiders have a beastly defense and young offense. IMO, the highest I would rank you guys is 26 or 27. Definitely not 20 and 29 could be right also.

Yea, you guys tanked after a good start. Kitna needs to just keep his mouth shut. He makes it so much worse.

I say you should probably be 26th like AFF said. But you havent proved that you should be any higher.

Many people are writing off the Rams. They were full of injuries last year, and with Chris Long on their team coupled with a healthy Stephen Jackson, Marc Bulger, and Torry Holt and if the other pieces fall into place correctly they could go 7-9 heck 8-8 at best. The 49ers are going to shock people. They did well in free agency and decent in the draft. Like I said, they need to resolve that QB situation. The Lions right now look better than them. And the Raiders look pretty good in my eyes, very young and good offense and a very stacked defense, they are going to scare people.

LOL, ok. First off you guys have no idea what you are talking about.

Now that Martz is gone the offense will be more balanced. You guys probably forget that Tatum Bell ran for a 1,000 yards with the Broncos, then we drafted Kevin Smith. We have 4 good recievers(Roy Williams,Calvin Johnson,Mike Furrey,Shaun McDonald). Our O-Line should be better because of the less passing plays we'll be running.

The secondary(our weak spot) was improved. We got Brian Kelly and Dwight Smith, might not sound like a lot but they are cover 2 guys that fit with the system that Coach Rod is doing. Also we acquire Leigh Boddin a decent conerback that is still pretty young. We have Gerald Alexander who is a 2nd year player that is going to be a stud. Ernie Sims and Jordon Dizon should form a nice group. The D-Line seems a little weak, but still got enough talent their to get it done.

I see us being an 8-8 team, which shouldn't be considered the 29th team. I don't see how we can go from a 7-9 team to the 29th team. We didn't lose much, if you want to consider Shaun Rogers anything.

Good point on the Chris Long thing, how many defensive lineman come in and turn around a team? Defense isn't good either. 49ers have been supposed to shock some people for how many years? Frank Gore is their only offensive weapon. They do have a nice young defense I'll give you that but what offense do they have? Mike Martz isn't going to make the offense any better. I read he is thinking about starting J.T. <Censored>ing Sullivan at QB, wtf? Raiders have a nice looking defense as well, but I don't see their offense being "good", Russell isn't develop yet, unless McFadden can pull a Adrian Peterson, their offense won't be that good.

Tatum Bell rushing for 1,000 yards is good and all, but running for 1,000 yards on the Broncos is like saying my Dolphins Punter punting it 60 yards should make him a Hall of Famer. I mean c'mon, me and my bad knee could probably run for 900 yards with the Broncos. Just look at Chris Henry, both Bell's, etc, it's the scheme.

And your O-Line is exactly the same except 1 year older and with a new scheme. Just because your are passing less doesn't mean they are going to block better. IMO, your O-Line is better at run blocking than pass blocking, and that's not saying a lot when they gave up a <Censored> load of sacks. That is going to hurt you guys.

I'll admit your WR's are great, but, Kitna is old and nothing spectacular, I'd rather have McGowan than him. When Kitna can throw it accurately, then we can talk about him.

Also, your secondary is still very weak. Booden is nothing but speed and got injured badly last season. Ernie Sims is nice, but he's the only name on your defense. The most I'd give you guys is 7-9 again and I see more of a 6-10 coming. Just not better than at least 6 of the other teams ranked in the 20's.
