You're not playing it out as a whole situation.

1) The Hawks traded Diaw for Joe Johnson.
2) The Hawks wouldn't have had low picks to draft Brandon Roy, Al Horford, etc. In 2006, that 5th pick would've been more like 12-14. For the sake of the arguement, we'll give them Hilton Armstrong. Then that 2007 pick would've been outside of the lottery. Sean Williams-esque type of pick, ya know?
3) Jason Terry was long gone by this point...

It'd look more like this -

PG: Chris Paul
SG: Joe Johnson
SF: Josh Childress
PF: Josh Smith
C: Zaza Pachulia
Bench: Sean Williams, Hilton Armstrong, Acie Law IV, Salim Stoudamire, Tyronn Lue, etc
also adding that we didn't trade Gasol we traded a pick that ended up being Gasol

IDK, I always wondered what would of happened if that 2003 draft went down differently.

I doubt you guys would have traded for Shaq if you had Bosh... But how bout this... You trade for Kobe? LOL
Lol that would've been awesome but it would've taken us A LOT more to trade for him, we killed you guys for Shaq, the only thing you got out of it is Lamar Odom, and arguably, the winner in that trade were the Wizards, lol.

yea I'm surprised there nothing about the whole rule about 1 year in college because if that would have started in 2003 Lebron would have went somewhere, Bassy would have been more prepared for the NBA, Josh Smith would have got more exposure etc. Alot of things would've have changed

Not stuff like that, it's too complicated. These are simple scenarios that many thought would happen at the time.

Yea but if you think about it, what if Telfair went to college? He would have either been better and been more polished(maybe he wouldn't even have a attitude).
Same with Amir Johnson,Andrew Bynum, maybe even Dwight. They would all be even better.
But that never happended and Dwight and Bynumare good while Amir and Telfai are still devolping(more Amir than Telfair)

Actually, mexi is finally right, Amir Johnson sucks. And don't call your backups on this one. You're a big boy, you can debate by yourself...
