FANNATION
In a three-way trade with the Bulls and Cavaliers, the SuperSonics got just the expiring contracts of Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall and Adrian Griffin in a deal that raises questions after Seattle moved Kurt Thomas to the Spurs earlier this week. The feeling among several league executives is new Seattle general manager Sam Presti, who got his current job after working for the Spurs under current Cavs general manager Danny Ferry, is paying off debts by trying to help the Spurs and Cavs.

The Sonics aren't helping anyone but themselves...

They used Rashard Lewis' trade exception to obtain Kurt Thomas and 2 1st rounders... They traded Kurt for expirings and a 1st...

They have I think 6 picks in the next 3 years, plus a ton of expirings... It's perfect for a team that is rebuilding around Durant + Green.

Also, if they are questioning this, why aren't they question McHale and West? West helped his former team the Lakers by giving them Gasol... McHale helped the Celtics with KG...

It does seem weird, but they are a rebuilding team.

What Yanks said is true.
They have 6 1st rounders in the next 3 years, and I think in the next 4 or 5 years they will have rebuilt the team around Kevin and Jeff.

But this is funny if the NBA is looking into this.

plus, if they're leaving Seattle, what better way to make a big splash, is to have a ton of available CAP money, 2 up&coming players, and a ton of potential star rookies..

their is a reasoning behind their madness

If they leave Seattle....I will be mad. I think Oklahoma City should just get a new team all together.

And they are, they said they will take whoever to court if they try to break out of the contract to the arena early.

Plus the report I read had a congressman or city official from seattle saying that they were open to talk things over and that they want the Sonics to remain in Seattle. So thats pretty much saying the ball is out of their court, and Stern and the front office just wants to leave.

Um...

McHale's team is last in the league, while the Celtics are 1st.

Any further questions?
