From seattlepi.com
For those of you hoping for a return of "Bones" to Seattle, it won't be happening. As expected, the Sonics waived Brent Barry to clear roster space for the 11-player trade on Thursday. Barry is officially a free agent and could sign with any team. At least he was a Sonic for about 24 hours.
Averaged 7.3 PPG, 43.0 3P% for Spurs this year

Yeah but Suns have a lot of interest

From the East Valley Tribune
The Suns may not be done wheeling and dealing. A team source said that Phoenix would like to find a way to acquire veteran sharpshooter Brent Barry, who was waived Thursday from the Seattle SuperSonics.

Barry, 36, is averaging 7.3 points per game this year and shooting 43 percent from 3-point range. He would be an ideal fit for Phoenix, given that defenses may sag inside to try to stop Shaquille O’Neal.

Ahhh, yep that was the team, thanks..

I could see the Suns adding him, but they need a backup center more than anything.

Dang it sonics, your supposed to win the hearts of your fans not lose them, now they will for sure be leaving.

Oh and I heard Sonics front office people will take Stern or someone to court to keep the Sonics in Seattle.

the Sonics front office wants to stay in Seattle, but the damn beaurocrats and the city of Seattle won't budge on helping out the situation.. the owners of Sonics want to move if the city won't oblige..

Stern is not the bad man here - it's the city of Seattle
