From: The Detroit News
AUBURN HILLS -- The Pistons did pull off one minor deal before the trade deadline Thursday.

They sent Primoz Brezec to Toronto for guard Juan Dixon.

Dixon, 29, averaged 4.3 points and 11.8 minutes in 36 games for the Raptors this season.

He was a first-round pick (17th overall) by Washington in 2002 out of Maryland. He has played for Washington, Portland and Toronto.

Dixon is like Rodney Stuckey, except he's got a better jumper... Kinda pointless deal from the Pistons standpoint... I kinda think they need a big man off the bench more than another guard.

I think the Raps get a nice deal... Primoz is pretty good, and he can help them in the playoffs.

Yea he will help us in the playoffs but now we don't have a "big man"(not saying Primoz was that players but still)
I like this though.

Yeah I think its a good deal, because Dixon is a decent player who plays both positions pretty solid, but then again, why deal Primoz? Not saying hes good but hes a big man, and thats what were lacking. And yeah basically I agree with you Yanks.

lol, I doubt it, that would be pretty sweet though. Could still be there though, a lot of trades on deadline day arent announced until a few hours after anyways.

Yea, I'm hoping we got him.
If we did I really think that we would be the best team in the East(due to our experiance and what not)

Good trade for Raptors because Dixon isn't even good. Hogs the ball because he is a selfish player and he takes unsmart shots that are always contested (too much 3 pt attempts) and he is an average defender

LOL, and you guys really think your getting something in Brezec? haha, when he actually averages good numbers then you can say it was a good trade for you guys. A few years ago he was awesome, now he just cant get it done like he used to. But really I dont care, Dixon is expiring as is Primoz, so we will have some money in the off season to hopefully sign a big man.

As much as I dilike Kwame we could sign him.
But we need a Big now, so I think Joe is going to Cut Flip and sign Dale or something along that.

Anything but Dale Davis please, lol, but yeah he will probably cut Murray soon, at least I hope. We obviously dont need him anymore.

Hopefully Pri knocks over some Gatorade coolers for us with his crazy-ass huste. This trade was pointless besides the fact that we need a big man.

Knowing Flip Dixon won't get much or any playing time anyways.

Agreed, also agreed with you BB, hes going to get Primoz minutes, which is like the last 3 minutes of a game, I would be surprised if he gets more. And FLIP I didnt mean what I said in a nasty way or anything lol I was just saying, both players probably wont do much for either team, it the most pointless trade this year.

Bad deal for the Pistons, last thing they need is another PG, let alone one that plays exactly the same as a few of the ones they have...

Yeah I agree, but I think it was a good pickup for the playoffs so we dont have to depend on rookies at the backup guard positions, at least we will have SOME experience in Dixon.
