Doesnt matter if the Pats won the superbowl or not, they had a historic season either way.

It doesn't matter?
That's a potential perfect season gone to waste, everything the Pats did this season, running up scores, trying to prove their point on the whole spygate thing, guys like Seau, Harrison, and Moss only wanting the ring, all gone to waste.. People are going to be looking back at the '08 playoffs picking a 14-6 record over 18-1, why? Because that 14-6 record consist of a superbowl win. I bet any of the Pats players/coaches would rather be 14-6 with that SB win, instead of that 18-1 with that SB loss. I know I would. The records are nice, but anyone could tell you that it doesn't mean jack since none of those broken records led to what matters most.

--EDIT
Also to clarify on my hatred towards the Patriots. I'm about to go on story telling mode.

For me it goes way back to my childhood, my family being hardcore Lakers fans, brought me up to hate the Boston Celtics and that translated to a sort of hate and bias against the east coast teams, especially those from Massachusetts. It grew even more being in LA growing up around what I call the Golden Age of Hip Hop, the "West Coast vs East Coast" hip hop battles. Also I've made trips to the east coast, particularly New York and Boston, I don't know if it was my upbringing but I honestly did not like it, thing's were just too different for me. So I've always had an itch everytime the Pats were mentioned. Doesn't help the Pats case any after what has happened this, and last season. I can't say that I hate the Pats as much as I hate the Celtics or the Sox, but with their continuing antics, they're certainly getting up there.

No, there's plenty of teams that have only lost 1 game!

i am pissed they lost -- Brady lost this game for him. too many times he missed Moss wide open. I'm sorry - golden boy was bad.

i am also pissed that I now cannot say I personally watched a team go undefeated in my lifetime. That was what I wanted. I could care less about the Giants and their cinderella story..

was a great game, with luck included (**Cough - Tyree catch on helmet**) and congrats to the Mannings.

I'm still having the problem with Aikman's comment that Peyton was more excited about his brother possibly winning than his own last year --- ludacris

I wanted to see Moss chew out Brady after the game.....but I guess he's changed a little bit.
