Alright so I know how a bunch of people are pissed at the spygate thing and they think the "cheaters should have an asterisk next to their season" and all that other jazz.

But is this reasom the only reason you hate the Pats? The only reason you fail to see how great of a season they had with or without a superbowl win, or how good they have been without their "cheating tapes?

So I have some things to say and I'm just going to get it out of my mind:

1. To all of you who hate the Patriots because "they win all the time"...
- Wow, I forgot that we are all still in kindergarten and everyone needs to win before we can move on. Seriously the same thing happens in EVERY other sport but how much does that get brought up? I mean look at the Yankees, the Candiens, and the Celtics/Lakers..I mean it isn't bad enough that each of these teams holds the record for most championships in their respective sports but they all had streaks where they'd win 4 or 5 in a row. I mean, don't me wrong, I show my emotion when the Sox lose to the Yanks in the playoffs but I usually get over it rather quickly. I could go with more but on to the next topic.

2. To all of you hating on the Patriots season calling it 'tainted'...
- Let me ask you: How is it more tainted than Shawne Merriman's season last year? Did he not cheat and did he not get caught? Yet, he was selected to the Pro Bowl that year and people have since put it in the back of their minds. I get the feeling that this situation won't be the same.

3. To all the Brady haters, saying he's "overrated"
- Are you mental? I mean seriously why the hell is he overrated? Because he has Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Donte Stallworth? How about the fact that Peyton Manning has had guys like Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne to throw to since 2001 and has been putting up the same numbers..but no, he's rated just fine and Tom is overrated.[/sarcasm] How about all the years leading up to this one where Brady's best receiver was not named Moss but rather Gaffney or Brown, how'd he do so well then?..oh wait, I forgot that it was because of their spying on other teams[/sarcasm]

To end my ranting I'll just say this to the haters(basically everyone)...get over yourself and it, seriously.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I guess that ends my rant, these are just some feelings that have been collecting about this whole mess. I put this in the NFL section because it's more general than just the Patriots but feel free to move it if need be. Your thoughts and opinions are always welcome but keep them respectable. I have made it a point to express my views in a manner that didn't require complete bashing or swearing towards one or more outside parties, so I suggest you do the same.

Lets say Brady and Manning were traded, you think Brady would make a difference, as in, make the Colts better then how Manning is controlling them? just wondering..

You know, you would never really know..

I mean yeah Brady has won more superbowls and the showdowns but they are different passers. Brady is more of a finesse/precision guy where as Manning is a sharpshooter, he throws with more power.

10 Kevin Kasper, WR
80 Troy Brown, WR
81 Bethel Johnson, WR
83 Deion Branch, WR
85 Jed Weaver, TE
86 David Patten, WR
87 David Givens, WR

The 2004 Patriots Recievers (They won the Super Bowl If you don't remember)

Branch, their best reciever, is now in Seattle. Anyone heard much of him?
Nope, Brady made him good. He is a good reciever but nothing without Brady.

Tainted? If the Pats had a guy in the stands instead of on the field its perfectly legal. That's crazy to say its tainted. Its not even really cheating. Its another reason to hate on the Pats. In the stands they still get what they need and its not illegal.

I just hate them because they are division rivals to the Jets. Same goes for hating the Bills and Dolphins.

I have a feeling that you directed this at me in particular, Baggino. Well, whether you did or not, I've got to say you do have a point. But perhaps the real reason I hate the Patriots, or Hatriots (as I call them), is because they are so easy to hate. I've never really seen that many great teams in any sport that no one hated, with an exception to the 1990s Bulls. But it's not that I'm jealous, or angry at the players' cockiness, and it certainly has nothing to do with spygate. I really don't care much about the whole spygate thing at all. But even as a Bills fan, I hate to see them lose to the Patriots twice a year every year since "Terrific Tom" took over as starter of the team and began showing signs of clutch and mental readiness for every game he played.

I'd rather no one question my disdain for the New England Patriots, I hate them because I hate them. There perhaps is no clear reason why that is, but I keep on with it anyways.
I do my best to explain myself, and if this isn't good enough for anyone, then I'm perfectly fine with that.

bulls, it wasn't directed at you man..I seriously hear this all the time from people at school too. So that combined with the recent article about the 2002 superbowl is what really spawned this from me. I understand your hate for a division rival because I do it too sometimes, actually probably more than sometimes.

CR, don't be naive man. They may not be the absolute worse or they may very well be..but they are cocky. All teams are. There has not been one team(that has had the chance) this year that has shown any signs of not being cocky.
