No all public schools are out for the most part. basically all.

My area was mainly white and we had school.
And now there is a lot more Black students and they don't school on MLK day.

Monday doesn't really work, because we need two days - one for the Board Awards and one for the HOF Inductions. Plus, as far as I know, there isn't a host for the pre-show or HOF (I'm not doing it).

There have been discussions in the staff lounge. Like nominations and such but we're trying to get more and working out the scheduling issue.

the person actually conducting the BAs and HOF will set the date and give warning via announcement. we encourage all to attend and participate in the festivities, but understand there are prior commitments by some.

so, Maple and whoever is doing HOF will select the date & time.. if they do select next weekend, then they can figure out who is doing pre-show, etc..

I was supposed to have a full day, but since school was cancelled yesterday, we are making up our exams on that day, so it's only a half day, because we were supposed to have a half day on friday. I only have like 4 kids that are black in the high school/junior high. We get opening day of deer season, unlike like the others in downstate Michigan, although, most of the school systems downstate get MLK day off and we don't.
